Job Description:

Provides incident and problem management services, as well as communications for all production impacting issues. Accountable for overall stability for the LOB supported. Manages triage events for all severities, drive to restoral and root cause identification. Creates, updates, completes incident tickets for all production events. Identifies improvement opportunities, and ensure corrective actions are documented and completed.

Required Skills:

  • Technical understanding of software design and experience and Sound knowledge of ETL concepts and using Datastage,  Batch Process Architectures, Writing Unix Shell Scripting, Knowledge of querying Databases - DB2 SQL, MEM SQL Oracle, Autosys, CA7, Mainframe concepts and understanding of API interactions with batch processes.
  • 6-8 years of application programming and IT operations support experience
  • Must have excellent organization skills, Written and Verbal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business units and senior leadership

  • Able to work on multiple projects/tasks concurrently and work a flexible schedule when needed
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Able to identify risk and issues and recommend appropriate mitigation plans
  • Able to deal with changing priorities, work under pressure,  manage competing priorities and work independently with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities.

·         Serve as hands on Subject Matter Expert and provide technical direction for problems, issues resolution , proactive monitoring.

·         Ensure Systems and applications meet/exceed performance, fault tolerance and availability metrics.

·         Assess and suggest process improvements, enhancements and performance improvements

·         Ensure Shift coverage  and availability for on call/off-hour support.

·         Maintain documentation of the issues and knowledge of production applications and infrastructure.

·         Application Release and Deployment Support.
