Role Description:

Individual contributor responsible for the day-to-day performance of Bank Operations for the Military Banking Overseas Division (MBOD). Major functions of this position are high risk and includes the daily processing of:

  • Potential Loss account Files- Responsible for the daily processing of charged off accounts and submission of bad debt files to the DFAS.

  • Incoming chargebacks received from the Federal Reserve Bank. Responsible for the daily processing of transit checks that have been deposited into Community Bank account that have been returned to us from the Federal Reserve Bank.

  • Back up support for IM/ST/FMS Data Entry processing- Responsible for the daily input of data entry worksheets for the following: IM (checking accounts), ST (Savings accounts), and FMS (general ledger).

Additional responsibilities include examining and responding to branch research requests. The preparation of general ledger and customer entries.  Responsible for identifying, escalating any risk factors and/or suspicious activity on all functions and transactions.

Required:

  • Previous experience with Bank Operations, Accounting, Research, or Numerical Data Entry

  • Must have strong 10-key skills

  • Must be critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented and adaptable to change while receiving regular feedback

  • Self-motivated, people oriented team player

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and strict quality standards by prioritizing daily work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Desired:

  • Possess knowledge of Fidelity application

  • 1-2 years of experience Backroom Operations in the Banking/Financial industry

  • Knowledge of OnBase, and Encore! applications
