Process Overview*

GBS Technology supports over 29,000+ employees across GBS in five cities supporting all lines of business. We are responsible for providing Technology Support Services along with implementation of enterprise programs. GBS Technology team provides, Employee Technology Support – Site Support, Incident Management & Service Request Management, Core Infrastructure – Network Operations support, Server and storage Management, Server Room Operations, Audio Video and Voice Infra support, Project Management - Site Build Outs, Enterprise Projects and Strategic Initiatives, Technology Procurement & Asset Management

Job Description

The primary objective of Network team is to provide secure and resilient Network infrastructure for enhanced Customer experience. As part of this role, the Technology Operations Specialist II should be able to manage Operations and Project delivery related to Network Infrastructure in the process also ensuring compliance to Bank related security guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Administration and Maintenance of LAN, WAN, VPN Gateway Infrastructure.
  • Timely execution of Projects & tasks assigned.
  • Responsible for Device upgrade / Bug fixes. (Cisco / Checkpoint / Aruba/ Netscout /Arista)
  • Responsible for Network Operations / BAU
  • Ensure high availability of critical Network infrastructure.
  • Ensure Infrastructure Risk Mitigation & Compliance.
  • Oversee 24*7 operations, escalations of technical issues which may affect business.
  • Ensure effective Change & Incident management procedures are followed.
  • Effective Vendor Management & Service Analysis.
  • Maintain Inventory and Tracker, ISP and Vendor co-ordination on need basis.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Cisco Routers / Switches / ISE / Firepower, Checkpoint / Fortigate Firewall, Aruba Access points and controllers, Netscout and Arista / Gigamon Sniffing solution, F5 / AVI load balancers, Arbor.
  • Good Project Management skills.
  • Must possess a strong ability to multitask simultaneous management and team escalations.
  • Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work well with others.
  • Must have experience in change and incident Management.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and drive operational and process improvements.
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in driving cost saving initiatives.

Education: BE / Equivalent Degree in Technical stream

Certifications: CCNA / CCNP Certification (Mandatory)

Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in Network Domain.

Foundational Skills

Strong understanding and working knowledge of Cisco Routers / Switches / ISE / Firepower, Checkpoint / Fortigate Firewall, Aruba Access points and controllers, Netscout and Arista / Gigamon Sniffing solution, F5 / AVI load balancers, Arbor.

Desired skills

  • ITIL knowledge and certification will be an added advantage.

Work Timings

  • 9 x 5 shifts
  • Adhoc weekend support for Project / Break-fix activities
