Role Overview:
Supports sales and/or trading desks. Responsible for trade capture and resolving trade discrepancies. Liaises between trading, trade support, sales, counterparties, counterparty credit, operations, and compliance. Participates in the introduction and UAT of new initiatives, systems, and process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance controls. Handles ad hoc requests from clients and the desk. Requires product knowledge of financial instruments relevant to the area supported and across related asset classes.

  • Provides support to FO desks, responsible for trade capture/reporting and advises FO of position adjustments and/or discrepancies.
  • Tracks and verifies trades and checks accuracy of processed trades.
  • Performs a liaison function between originators and traders.
  • Updates front office on prices and or yields and market movement and assist in sales and trading activity.
  • Incumbents have a thorough understanding of the firms activities and their assigned product area.
  • Works under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Will typically have 2+ years product / trading floor experience.

Job Description:

  • Supports Global Markets AMRS FICC Sales in initial risk booking functions as well as client related challenges and inquiries.
  • Act as an extension for Sales and represent their relationship needs accordingly.
  • Respond to and resolve trade/client related issues and engage internally as an intermediary between various groups: Trading, Trade Support, Sales, Credit Risk, Onboarding, Operations, and Compliance.
  • Ensure trade flow accuracy and trade/client journey completeness.
  • Participate in the introduction of new initiatives, systems, and process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preform trade capture, trade amendments, and other lifecycle event processing for Sales post execution.
  • Send trade recap and coordinate with client to affirm trade details.
  • Supervise trade flow and help troubleshoot issues downstream till completion.
  • Ensure trade capture and allocation meet Good-to-Trade requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Support new and existing client relationships by initiating or supporting the client onboarding process and fulfilling client integration needs.
  • Respond to and raise escalations in a prompt manner with transparent and explicit details.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Operates with accuracy and effectiveness under a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • FICC product knowledge with an emphasis in bonds, Swaps and FX
  • Strong sense of urgency with ability to multi-task heavily; ability to maintain follow-up on outstanding issues
  • Comfortability and confidence speaking with clients and senior business leads. Ability to handle client escalations delicately yet efficiently
  • Basic understanding of FICC regulatory environment and industry standards
  • Familiarity with client onboarding: KYC/AML, UMR, CFTC, Dodd Frank, SEC and other regulatory standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
