Strategy Execution Lead II (SEL II) -

This role leads and supports diverse administrative functions across a broad set of key strategic initiatives and senior management priorities. It is responsible for driving high-impact projects that influence financial performance and cross-functional teams. The position requires a thorough knowledge of the departments, business units, product lines and functional areas the team supports. Key responsibilities include assisting with execution of key strategic initiatives, lead analysis to evaluate potential targets and manage aspects of the business development process. The role also plays a critical part in the business/strategic planning process across lines of business, including preparing and facilitating strategic reviews for senior leadership. A working knowledge of general bank operations, policies, financial programs, procedures and industry practices – both at the institutional and regulatory levels – are essential for success in this role.

This role is in the Wealth Management Advisory Group reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and plays a key part in delivering a strategic vision to enhance collaboration between the Wealth Management businesses (The Private Bank and Merrill Private Wealth Management) and the Global Markets and GCIB lines of business. This role will assist the COO in driving responsible growth, deepening client engagement and expanding business development opportunities through frequent interactions with Wealth Management, Global Markets and GCIB partners, as well as Enterprise Business Integration teams. This individual will help shape and implement collaboration and operating models that promote connectivity, efficiency and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the development of initiatives that strengthen alignment between Wealth Management and other key lines of business
  • Analyzing business opportunities and leveraging data to identify synergies and prospective opportunities
  • Creating custom materials, presentations and client-facing content for senior leadership and priority clients
  • Helping to design and operationalize cross-business models
  • Managing large sets of data with the ability to manipulate for reporting purposes
  • Actively participating in meetings and ability to summarize key takeaways and next steps with team
  • Assisting with enterprise client coverage research or general prospect research through search engines (i.e. google)
  • Drafting e-mails for broad communication to internal or external partners and senior leadership
  • Understanding organizational structure across multiple lines of businesses and identifying key stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the team overall in a multi-faceted manner, realizing priorities and deadlines are evolving
  • Participating in administrative tasks, including data management, printing, shared drive management, meeting coordination, agendas

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years minimum professional or relevant experience required
  • Experience with and knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel functionalities
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in previous roles
  • Finance knowledge and understanding of Wealth Management, Investment Banking and Global Markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to balance working effectively within a team and operating independently using a self-starter mindset
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking and prioritizing assignments against work deadlines

Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
