Position overview
The internal communications coordinator is an important part of the corporate communications team who’s responsible for helping to tell the story of Blue Cross’ values, mission and strategy to our associates (employees). Reporting to the senior manager of internal communications, the internal communications coordinator works collaboratively across the organization to deliver our messages to associates in a way that provides the right cadence of information to the right people at the right times.

What you’ll do
- Help create, write and edit engaging content across existing – and potentially new – channels as outlined by sr. manager.
- Align with sr. manager to own a strategic editorial calendar and manage its content on a regular basis.
- Help schedule and post content as needed.
- Help draft and send weekly, internal newsletter via the Axios platform.
- Create regular reports and recaps (including survey data) for internal events and other initiatives.
- Provide support to other communications functions as needed.
- Ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s values, mission and strategy.
- Form strong relationships with other communicators across the business.
- Find ways to foster two-way dialogue with associates to better understand if/how messages are landing.
- Stay current on emerging health care news, as well as political, business, technology, security and other trends to inform and provide perspective for internal communications efforts.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations / iterate based on feedback.

What you’ll bring
- 3-5 years’ experience in internal communications or a related field (preferably in health care)
- A fresh approach to how we communicate
- The willingness to develop interpersonal skills that build healthy, collaborative, and trusting relationships throughout the company
- Strong writing and editing skills
- The know-how to handle sensitive material
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize work in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Capability to work with a high level of independence as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- The willingness to be adaptable and flex as priorities shift

Full timeSalary Range: $88,200.00 - $107,800.00The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
This job is also eligible for variable pay.
