STAT is based in Boston and is affiliated with Boston Globe Media Partners but is independent from The Boston Globe.

Job Description:
The business of STAT is currently driven by advertising, paid subscriptions, and events. We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and strategic individual to help grow the advertising side of the business. The Marketing Solutions Coordinator will conceptualize and execute integrated, cross-platform B2B marketing programs for STAT’s clients across a variety of industries — biotech, pharma, academia, nonprofits, and much more.

This person will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to project manage advertising and sponsorship campaigns prior to, during, and after execution. This person will report directly to the Marketing Solutions Director and work closely with the Events, STAT Brand Studio, Digital Marketing, Ad Operations, and Sales teams. This role offers the opportunity to work across all facets of STAT’s marketing and advertising business, gaining exposure to client strategy, campaign execution, and product innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Client & Campaign Management
    • Lead kickoff calls with clients and agency partners at the start of each campaign.
    • Develop client proposals and media plans for advertising and sponsorship programs.
    • Create wrap reports that highlight results and key takeaways after execution.
  • Sales Enablement & Marketing Materials
    • Develop media plans, sell sheets, and decks to support the sales team.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, ad operations, sales) to brainstorm and build new products and programs.
  • Event Support & Team Operations
    • Support the events team with planning, preparation, and on-site execution (domestic travel 3-7 times a year).
    • Contribute to team success by streamlining processes and providing administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

  • An ambitious marketer with 1–3 years of experience executing integrated marketing and advertising campaigns, managing sponsorship activations, and supporting client partnerships. Experience can also include co-ops and internships.
  • A driven self-starter with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. You thrive in start-up environments fueled by creativity and innovation.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills — able to juggle multiple priorities, adapt when plans change, and keep details on track.
  • A positive problem solver who works well both independently and with a team, with a track record of performing well in high-pressure situations.
  • A relationship builder. You are great at developing and nurturing relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, comfortable engaging with colleagues, clients, and senior stakeholders.
  • A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment
  • Creative! Our ideal new team member brings their best and out-of-the-box ideas to the table and is excited to run with them.
