Job Description:

The HR Benefits & HR Data Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, and analysis of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, leaves of absence, and life insurance. This role partners closely with the HR team to evaluate benefits offerings, costs, utilization, and market trends, supporting initiatives such as vendor reviews, request-for- proposal (RFP) processes, and annual open enrollment.

In addition, this role plays a key part in advancing HR’s use of artificial intelligence and data analytics. The analyst will support the implementation, rollout, and ongoing optimization of HR AI solutions, including the HR AI Bot, while continuously identifying emerging AI tools and practices to enhance HR operational effectiveness. The role also serves as the primary system administrator for UKG Pro and is responsible for HR reporting and analytics provided to HR leadership and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members.

Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, terminations, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and a high level of service.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, vendors, consultants, and UKG representatives.
  • Support open enrollment planning, execution, employee communications, and post-enrollment reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate processing, documentation, and reporting of all benefit changes.
  • Partner with the HR team to review benefits costs, utilization trends, market projections, new initiatives, and RFP analyses.

Data Analysis

  • Support the implementation, rollout, and ongoing sustainment of HR AI solutions, including the HR AI Bot.
  • Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and practices within HR to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Design, develop, and maintain HR and benefits reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR leadership and SLT members.
  • Translate HR and benefits data into insights that support decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Support compliance reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements related to benefitsand HR data.

HRIS Administration

  • Own and administer UKG Pro and associated modules, including but not limited to Absence Management, Pro Learning, Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits Administration, Employee Voice, Document Manager, and People Assist.
  • Maintain system configurations to support benefits and broader HR operations.
  • Conduct regular audits, testing, and data validation to ensure system accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Manage system enhancements, integrations, and vendor coordination.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve system-related processes and controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in benefits administration and HR systems.
  • Strong experience with UKG Pro and Cognos Analytics preferred.
  • Experience with other HRIS or reporting tools such as ADP, Workday, Tableau, or similar platforms is a plus.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and process issues independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence in Boston three days per week.

The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area or willing to move.

The annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $95,000.
