Position Profile:
The Marketing Operations Analyst will support Marketing Operations and the greater marketing department across the Breezeline marketing team. This role reports in to the Senior Marketing Operations Manager. The Marketing Operations Analyst works closely with and collaborates with all aspects of marketing [Integrated Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Digital Experience, Customer Experience and Corporate Communications/PR] and other cross-functional partners. The Marketing Operations Analyst is responsible for setting up and writing SFMC SQL data extensions for journeys and automations, marketing analysis, producing reports and driving actionable insight for the marketing team.
You will serve as an analytics partner to all areas of marketing providing them with insights regarding their group’s performance. There will be data challenges along the way. You see these an opportunity to further the cause for data integrity and performance marketing. You are a systems thinker who loves data and puzzles who is a storyteller using data to help the marketing team improve their performance.
Marketing Operations Analyst Responsibilities
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Data Extension development using SQL and automations.
Report creation is in Excel, data visualization suites (Google Data Studio, Tableau or any other BI Tool), via Tableau desktop, and providing clear business requirements to cross-functional partners
Focus on Marketing KPIs (Campaign measures such as calls, PSUs, Leads, performance, clicks, opens, etc. and other indicators.)
Provides daily updates on reporting and other projects as the audience is marketing management, and the senior management team.
Creating actionable customer segments/clusters for reporting and targeting purposes.
Reviews existing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for accuracy.
Creates new reports or elements in response to ad hoc data analysis.
Updates data sets on a timely basis, analyzing actual data to improve marketing campaign effectiveness.
Troubleshoots as necessary when processes fail or reports show inconsistencies.
Provides data to internal marketing customers as requested.
Attend meetings and act as the subject matter expert for marketing data and analytical needs of the marketing department.
Presenting results to both internal and external customers
Other job-related responsibilities as required.
Skills & Experience:
Required: 1 to 3 years of experience writing Salesforce Marketing Cloud SQL Data Extension & Automations
1 to 3 years supporting Marketing Operations and Analytics required.
Must love data, telecommunications data experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Excel, Google Analytics, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Big Query or knowledge of other BI tools and SQL.
Bachelor of Science with a major in Business or Marketing with a focus on Analytics, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Applied Mathematics degree or similar quantitative field of study.
Expertise manipulating data in Excel at an advanced level preferred.
Experience balancing multiple projects concurrently in a high-paced environment.
Experience building effective Google Slides presentations.
Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience extracting data from MarTech platforms and data from various systems.
Experience surmising and documenting business-reporting requirements.
A good understanding of statistics, including regression and predictive modeling is a plus.
