Job Description:

Position: Subscriber Analyst, Product Strategy

Reports To: Senior Director, Product Strategy

Located: Quincy Corporate Office

The Subscriber Analyst will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting subscriber trends for our organization. This role will involve in-depth data analysis, model building, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with business goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze actual subscriber acquisition trends and movements of current customers to identify patterns and insights.

  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict weekly, monthly, and quarterly subscriber trends.

  • Monitor and assess the accuracy of forecasts against actual results and adjust models as needed.

  • Collaborate with budgeting teams to integrate forecasting data into budgeting processes for various business cycles.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize subscriber acquisition and retention strategies.

  • Prepare and present reports and findings to management and key stakeholders.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance forecasting methodologies and tools.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in subscriber forecasting and data analytics.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • Applicable bachelor's degree in a related field such as business analytics, finance, accounting, statistics, mathematics, or economics.

  • Proven experience in data analysis, forecasting, and modeling, preferably in a subscription-based business.

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages such as Excel, Google Sheets, Python, R, or SQL.

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and forecasting techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-analytical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying data anomalies and outliers.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with subscription based products and services.

  • Previous experience in the telecommunications, media, or technology industry.

This role requires a candidate who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating data into actionable insights. The Subscriber Forecasting Analyst will contribute significantly to the organization's strategic decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely subscriber forecasts and trend analysis.
