Primary Purpose

The HRIS Workday Project Manager responsibilities include: providing direction, coordination, execution, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with the Human Resource Department’s strategy and goals. Responsible for facilitating the alignment and development of cross-functional HR Project and Programs across all HR Domains: HRIS, HR Operations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development. In addition to significant Project Management competency, the role will require a broad spectrum of knowledge of HR programs, business processes, and will demonstrate operational excellence in the planning and tactical execution or projects.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans in collaboration with project stakeholders including scope, deliverables, required resources, risk, and timelines.

  • Manage a variety of cross-functional HR, HR Technology initiatives and annual programs from project initiation until closure. Programs may vary in HR domain, length, and complexity.

  • Lead project teams to ensure overall project success, and will often need to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities throughout the life cycle of a project.

  • Assign tasks and set deadlines for the project team to support the successful completion of project milestones and will report out on project risks and successes to sponsors & stakeholders.

  • Recommend mitigation strategies to prevent and resolve risks that arise during projects.

  • Partner with SMEs to ensure best practices of change communication and management are embedded into projects.

  • Participate in the development and ongoing execution of an HR Governance Framework and management of HR project portfolio.

  • Support knowledge sharing within and across projects.

  • Actively partner with the IT PMO to assure alignment and consistency of Bright Horizons Project Management Methodology.

Job Requirements – Education/Experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, IT, or related field required

Experience

5 years of experience as a project manager with minimum 1 years' experience managing and leading HR & HR Technology projects required.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Related business experience that includes managing a project team, strong analytical skills, organizational skills, follow-through skills, communication skills, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment across other functions including sales, account management, employee services, finance, IT, HR and marketing.

  • Hands on experience managing projects for ERP and/or HR systems implementation are desirable.

  • Project management professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), Agile Certification or similar project management certification is desirable.

  • Knowledge of different project management software such as: MS Project, MS Visio or like tools.

Remote role. Range: $70-85K
