The Business Development Officer is responsible for sourcing and developing prospects into new Bank clients. Target market includes companies with revenues between $50MM and $500MM per annum.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies and maintaining and expanding referral sources.
- Transition on-boarded customers to the Bank’s Relationship Managers for ongoing relationship management and cross-sell of additional Bank products and services.
- Gather and maintain prospect data, maintaining marketing materials to be used in the selling process, participating in community organizations and activities and assisting prospective customers in the on-boarding process.
- Responsible for on-going revenue generating activity.
- Work closely with credit officers when client situations arise.
- Accountable for meeting clearly established financial goals, aggressively covering the market in order to add new clients and grow market share
- Quarterback the delivery of Bank products and services to each client, and collaborating with internal partners (Relationship Management, Portfolio Management and Credit) to properly manage risk and credit components of client on-boarding.
- Individual should be extremely sociable, collaborative and comfortable working in a high-intensity, ever-changing environment.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of successful experience in Commercial Banking sales.
- Successful track record of developing and maintaining business relationships (COI’s) required.
- Demonstrated ability to work internally and externally to manage and grow new relationships.
- Prior experience attending industry events.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Dodd-Frank regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and collaborating across an organization
Education
- Bachelors degree is required
- MBA a plus

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
