JOB PURPOSE

The Project Manager / Scrum Master plays a key role in delivering high-quality projects across the agency by ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution. This role is central to facilitating agile workflows, promoting cross-functional alignment, and maintaining project momentum from initiation through completion. With a focus on collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, the Project Manager / Scrum Master ensures that teams are supported, obstacles are removed, and projects are delivered efficiently, meeting both client and business expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects, ensuring delivery is on time, on scope, and within budget.
  • Facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies for assigned projects.
  • Manage and maintain project plans, timelines, and dependencies using agency-approved tools (e.g., ClickUp, Figma, Slack).
  • Identify risks and blockers early, escalating as needed with proposed mitigation strategies.

Agile Facilitation

  • Champion Agile methodologies, adapting frameworks as appropriate to the needs of the team and client.
  • Serve as a servant leader to cross-functional project teams, removing impediments and promoting accountability.
  • Encourage continuous feedback and iteration throughout project lifecycles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with account, UX/UI, development, strategy, QA, and media teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and expectations.
  • Work with team leads and resource managers to allocate appropriate resources to projects and adjust plans based on availability or changes.
  • Maintain transparency with stakeholders through regular updates, documentation, and reporting.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the point of contact for project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure scope, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined, documented, and communicated to all parties.
  • Facilitate effective client meetings, including status updates, reviews, and retrospective discussions.

Process & Performance Improvement

  • Contribute to refining project delivery processes and templates to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Track and report on project KPIs, including delivery timelines, scope changes, team velocity, and profitability metrics where relevant.
  • Share insights and lessons learned to contribute to the team’s knowledge base and drive ongoing improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in agile project management, preferably in an agency or marketing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple complex projects, balancing scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Asana, Jira, Click Up, Workamajig).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred:

  • PMP and Scrum or related project management certification.
  • Experience working with digital, creative, and integrated marketing teams.
  • Knowledge of financial tracking and project profitability management.
