CTP, a leading integrated Creative Communications agency, is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented communicator to serve as a Public Relations Account Coordinator for several of our account teams. The Account Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the account team by planning and executing public relations and social media campaigns and managing client needs. Primary work will include conducting media and industry research, developing and maintaining media lists, monitoring trends, ownership of client coverage reports and some media relations support. CTP provides a hybrid work environment.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, tracks and prepares editorial coverage and social engagement;
  • Develops and maintains accurate list of the most appropriate media and influencers for specific clients;
  • Monitors related editorial coverage and social media to identify client opportunities;
  • Assists with developing press materials, including pitch letters, news releases and media kit information;
  • Creates and maintains events/awards/speaking engagement calendars for clients;
  • Reviews key media to identify trends;
  • Think through implications and develop next steps during meetings, conversations or whenever project parameters change; document in call reports;
  • Take ownership for team communication; keep entire team informed of project status and/or changes;
  • Respond quickly and effectively to client questions, requests and needs;
  • Build strong, flexible relationships with internal teams; establish credibility and win confidence of colleagues;
  • Communicate effectively in both a verbal and written manner; proofing work of oneself and others;
  • Maintain direct, timely and appropriate communications with PR Team and/or client through conference reports, status updates, etc.
  • Participates in local professional development opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field
  • 1 year of professional communications experience
  • Ability to work in our Boston office 2x per week (Tuesday/Wednesday)
  • Highly organized; mindful of deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive and passionate about communications 
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments at one time
  • Positive outlook and good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure
  • The desire to be a part of a fast-moving, collaborative, small team
  • Punctual, regular and predictable attendance
