Position Summary:

CVS Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager – Technology Strategy and Business Operations (S&O) in Information Security and Technology Solutions (ISTS) organization. The TSS organization is a large, dynamic, complex and high-performing organization that at the core is an infrastructure, digital workplace and software focused organization.

As a Manager (IC) S&O, you will work with S&O leads, the leadership team and drive the strategic plan for the organization. In this role, you will advise and influence individuals at all levels within the organization on large, complex problems critical to unlocking the potential of technology in pursuit of serving the needs of our customers. To be effective in role, this unique individual will need to demonstrate a high degree of technical and business acumen, strong relationship building affinity, exemplary organizational and quantitative/qualitative analysis skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Strategy, Business Operations or Management Consulting, Product Management with specific expertise in Technology Strategy development and execution
  • 2+ years of experience championing organizational change, e.g., leading strategic initiatives, products, services
  • Understanding of technology concepts as they relate to large enterprises. Previous IT/HighTech experience highly valuable, deep understanding of IT hardware/software/services markets and trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and influential relationship building across various levels of leadership, internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be quantitatively oriented leading with numbers, facts and data sets and have a qualitative lens to identifying the drivers
  • Active listening and thoughtfully challenging the status-quo, develop credibility as strategic partner
  • Proven skills in developing strategic frameworks and “storytelling” rooted in relevant facts and key assumptions
  • Strong Program/ Project Management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to break down large complex problems into simple solution components across multiple workstreams
  • Ability to quickly understand a complex enterprise function in a highly matrixed organization
  • Working understanding of the routine, day-to-day challenges of an infrastructure organization to ultimately yield a more well-rounded and effective strategy
  • A passion for continuous learning and innovation

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with S&O lead(s) and the ISTS leadership team and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive multi-year view of our technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with our Business Unit strategies
  • Key liaison and collaborate with Strategy & Ops leads, chief-of-staff team and cross-functional product, engineering and operations teams within TSS and DDAT and other internal Planning functions e.g. Finance, Procurement, HR etc. on Strategy, alignment, planning and driving execution rhythm of the business and operational excellence
  • Actively monitor the progress and implementation of the strategic initiatives, setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and holding teams accountable for achieving the desired results
  • Vendor/Partner alignment with roadmaps – Communicate strategy to vendors/ecosystem partners to drive shared goals and outcomes, to ensure that external partners/vendors are working in sync with the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Identify gaps, correct conflicts, and translate plans to execution across the strategy spectrum
  • Build and communicate senior executive presentations, communications, and definition documents
  • Research, analyze, and articulate the competitive and industry landscape for technology on an ongoing basis
  • Stay engaged with the general technology market, vendors, and partners to ensure that TSS strategic plans are relevant, represent smart investments and are aligned with the service needs of the business
  • Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities which we work, live, and serve


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
