Position Summary

CVS Health is looking for a collaborative, strategic-minded and detail-oriented editorial program manager with strong communications experience who can keep multiple stakeholders aligned, zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to make sure all the underlying activities are contributing toward clearly articulating our strategy to become the leading health services company for consumers.

This role will be part of the Enterprise Thought Leadership and Content Strategy team with responsibility for planning and coordination of content development and delivery for our enterprise internal communication channels. This role is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of the Internal Communications team editorial calendar, driving adherence to timelines and guidelines, as well as drafting and editing communications materials, including stories, newsletter copy and digital screen and banner ad copy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues across Enterprise Communications to ensure editorial activities are aligned to communications priorities, support enterprise strategy, tell a cohesive story, adhere to our style and brand guidelines, and are produced as efficiently as possible.

The successful candidate will be a skilled writer who is deft at guiding colleagues with competing priorities toward approaches that serve the enterprise and will have exceptional project management skills. A relentless prioritizer who will help us achieve thoughtful change through partnership, collaboration and meeting very high standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the editorial process for content published via enterprise internal digital channels and partner with colleagues across enterprise communications in the development, coordination and review of enterprise content.
  • Guide the production of internal content and delivery of internal messages and supporting materials that support the enterprise strategy and goals.
  • Identify opportunities to connect, consolidate and sequence content to maximize its effectiveness and clarity for colleagues.
  • Review all materials for spelling, grammar and other errors, ensure adherence to AP Style, internal style and Brand guidelines.
  • Write, edit and review stories, newsletter copy, digital slide copy and banner ad copy.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate content and maximize the use of our channels.
  • Interpret and share project information with team members to maintain alignment with the calendar.
  • Continuously track content production to ensure delivery within established timelines.


Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years professional experience at a large organization, public relations agency or media enterprise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building relationships across teams and influenced senior- and junior-level colleagues outside of reporting relationships.
  • Coordinated editorial content or communications activities at a large organization, public relations agency or media enterprise.
  • Managed complex events and/or projects with multiple high-level stakeholders who have competing interests and viewpoints.
  • Delivered optimal results with authority to determine best course of action to maximize enterprise benefit.
  • Connected tactical communications activities to a high-level strategy to present a cohesive, engaging narrative to key audiences.
  • A proven track record of producing clear, concise, compelling and clean copy covering complex subjects on tight deadlines.
  • The ability to manage complex projects on strict deadlines independently and with limited oversight.
  • Excellent executive presence, and written and verbal communications skills.
  • The ability to effectively deliver in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency with project management programs, e.g., Adobe Workfront.


Education
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
