Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst role within CVS Health Ventures is a highly analytical and strategic position on the Market Development team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting a wide range of Market Development team initiatives, including portfolio management support, execution of our “fund of funds” investment strategy, collaboration with our enterprise partners, and advancing our market insights program.

As a key member of the team, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for identifying and driving enterprise value through our strategic investment platform. This includes sourcing and assessing partnership opportunities for our portfolio companies, executing due diligence and investments aligned with our “fund of funds” strategy, fostering strategic engagement with our internal business partners, and contributing to the development and dissemination of market insights generated through our insights program. This work will be conducted in close coordination with our broader team, including our early-stage, growth equity, and fund strategy & operations teams.

The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a fast-paced, strategic environment and can fulfill the following job responsibilities:

  • Drive financial modeling, analysis, and memo preparation for prospective fund investments, while providing secondary support for direct investment initiatives
  • Provide ongoing support for our “fund of funds” program, including investment evaluation, performance reporting, and coordination of team input on engagement metrics
  • Manage ongoing engagement with our venture capital ecosystem partners with a focus on meeting preparation, follow-ups, and dissemination of insights across the team
  • Work cross-functionally across the broader team to prepare high-impact executive communication materials (e.g., board decks, investment committee materials, etc.)
  • Project management and optimization of operational processes (e.g., CRM, business unit support/documentation) within Market Development and in coordination with broader team
  • Coordination and support of ongoing portfolio management support, performance evaluation, and commercial partnership progress
  • Advance investment thesis development areas on key technology trends and healthcare ecosystem dynamics
  • Support high-value operational functions such as organizing conferences, coordinating meetings, and managing related logistics and communications


Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of professional experience (excluding internships)
  • 1+ years of experience in business roles particularly in healthcare consulting, investment banking, growth equity, corporate strategy, venture capital, and/or private equity
  • 1+ years of experience with financial modeling and data analysis, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Validated project management skills with an emphasis on integrating multiple work outputs into a unified deliverable
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling and data analysis, valuation, and investment due diligence
  • Experience developing and supporting strategic relationships and/or investments (e.g., direct investments, convertible notes, fund investments, etc.)
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized and able to provide positive leadership across multiple work streams in a fast-paced, complex working environment
  • Demonstrates high level of independent judgment and proactivity
  • Demonstrated collaborative work style with ability to work and across diverse teams

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

Location: WFH. Preference for Boston or New York MSA.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
