Position Summary :
As the Lead Director of Patient Engagement and Personalization, you will lead a high-performing team of analytics professionals and technical product talents to personalize pharmacy services for 100M CVS Pharmacy customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine business strategy and data/analytics assets to design, develop, test, scale, and evolve outbound pharmacy communications and campaigns. You will partner cross-functionally with product owners, clinical SMEs, data engineering, data science, digital and IT teams to uncover opportunity areas to drive immunization, support commercialization of retail pharmacy services, and shape seamless patient experiences. You will also mentor and coach a super talented team and have constant exposure to senior leadership at VP and SVP levels.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of patient engagement and campaign initiatives to drive immunization, build commercializable patient engagement services and capabilities for health plan and pharma clients, and continuously improve customer experience
  • Own the strategy and roadmap of the patient engagement as a service portfolio and set directions for the team balancing short-term and long-term priorities
  • Manage a team of high-performing analytics professionals to perform deep data analytics to derive actionable business insights and uncover new opportunity areas to improve customer outreach and campaign effectiveness
  • Lead a cross-functional team of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers to execute experiments and campaigns to rapidly test new patient outreach tactics and scale up winners
  • Constantly assess business needs, emerging priorities, and risks. Make data-driven decisions on timeline, resourcing, and prioritization across project teams
  • Effectively partner and influence various internal stakeholders including other business and product teams, data engineering and data science teams, pharmacy operation, IT and Digital
  • Work across the boundary to partner with both business and technical teams to identify personalization use cases and capability enhancement opportunities (e.g., AI use cases, tech stack enhancements) to further evolve the personalization and experimentation technology
  • Attract, develop, and retain top analytics and technical product talents. Create an engaging and supportive environment where team members could continuously learn, grow, and thrive.
Required qualifications:
  • 8 years of relevant experience in analytics or technical product management (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Extensive experience working with data scientists and engineers
  • Prior hands-on coding experience with at least one of the programming languages; ability to read and understand technical/code details when needed
  • Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics. Working knowledge of design of experiments and observational studies
  • Ability to develop vision, strategy and roadmap on leveraging data and analytics to drive business value
  • Excel at working across boundaries to partner with technical and business leadership in a cross-matrixed environment
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Experience in building/managing a high performing analytics team and developing the next generation of business analytics leaders
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field
  • Working knowledge of cutting-edge technology (e.g., digital, AI)
  • Experience with cloud computing and programming in a cloud platform (e.g. Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Experience with SQL, Python and PySpark
  • Strong understanding of both machine learning and generative AI
Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, analytics, public health, business administration, etc.)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
