Role Description:

The recently reorganized Patient Engagement, Analytics, and Retention (PEAR) team at Oak Street Health will support the broader Engagement, Experience, and Service Ops organization to improve and expand our patient engagement strategy and operations. The Engagement, Experience, and Service Ops team is broadly focused on (1) Maximizing the number of our patients, both new and existing, that are engaged in our care model through the delivery of an Unmatched Patient Experience; (2) Ensuring we capture value-based economics on all patients we serve – especially those that complete Wellness Review Visits; and (3) Be an extension of the center team that makes work easier for them by (a) providing seamless central interactions with our patients and (b) centralizing standardized activities.

The Lead Director of Patient Engagement Analytics will report to the AVP of Patient Engagement. This role will partner closely with leadership across the organization, including our Chief Engagement Officer, our Senior Vice President of Patient Experience, and our Senior Vice President of Service Operations to develop and refine Oak Street’s strategy and analytics around engagement, experience, and service ops. This role will leverage Oak Street’s growing data capabilities to improve business performance, identify and assess opportunities for additional investment, and provide analytical and operational guidance for programs in the Engagement Team.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and analytical skills, be self-directed, excel at mentorship and coaching, and enjoy working with a team in a fast-paced startup environment, while bringing his/her experience, leadership, and innovative ideas to collaborative project- and program-based initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and allocate 5+ associates and Sr. Associates team members across the various ad hoc and programmatic initiative needs of the Engagement, Experience, and Service Operations team

  • Closely collaborate with field leaders (e.g., Division Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents) executives (e.g., SVP Experience, SVP Service Operations) to share work progress, discuss outcomes and insights, and propose specific action plans

  • Create KPIs and reports to monitor success across various Engagement channels, identify opportunities for improvement and report out to these findings to executive leaders

  • Create content for executive-level meetings (monthly and quarterly)

  • Drive strategic problem solving, opportunity analyses & new idea generation for initiatives within the Engagement, Experience, and Service Operations team

  • Manage a team of 5+ direct reports

  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for? We’re looking for motivated, entrepreneurial individuals with:

  • 10+ years of work experience, with some flexibility depending on graduate degree program achievement and experience in value-based case

  • Outstanding communication skills - with executive stakeholders and team members

  • Experience in a highly-analytical fast-paced environment; management consulting, investment banking, or private equity experience a plus

  • Experience managing a team of 4+ team members, as well as mentoring early talent, required

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and impeccable business judgment

  • An ability to independently pursue and implement solutions to complex problems

  • A history of taking ownership and delivering results

  • Exceptional humility, a bias toward listening, and a natural inclination to dive in and get your hands dirty

  • A positive and empathetic attitude -- you motivate others to overcome challenges

  • Unimpeachable integrity

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint required

  • Proficiency with more advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Alteryx) required

  • Proficiency with Salesforce a plus

  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus

  • US work authorization

  • Someone who embodies being “Oaky”

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
