Position Summary

Caremark, the nation’s leading pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), is dedicated to making the journey to better health affordable, accessible, and straightforward for our 103 million plan members. We provide personalized support to help individuals start and stay on their medications, as adherence leads to better health outcomes and reduced healthcare costs.

We are seeking a Lead Director of Quality Engineering to join our expanding Center of Excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in PBM/Healthcare testing, test automation, and quality engineering. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of quality assurance engineers, analysts, and developers to implement and maintain effective testing processes, procedures, strategies, and automation tools for delivering high-quality benefit and clinical changes to our clients.

Qualifications

Quality Leadership: Oversee the quality engineering of Pharmacy Plan Design Setup using Certification testing, ensuring that both Client and Member Experiences meet or exceed expectations through the use of test automation tools.

Automation Framework: Define and maintain a robust testing automation framework for Certification testing, driving the adoption and optimization of automation tools and implementing innovative approaches using proven technologies.

Team Development: Mentor and motivate team members to reach their full potential while promoting industry best practices in Quality Engineering and Reporting

Executive Reporting: Deliver comprehensive quality reports on Certification testing outcome statistics, making informed recommendations and taking appropriate actions.

Talent Development: Build a high-performing team by providing opportunities, guidance, and constructive feedback, while creating a talent pipeline for future growth.

Technical Guidance: Set team direction, resolve challenges, and provide technical support to ensure development objectives are met.

Diversity and Inclusion: Support CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse, consumer-centric workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading and managing quality engineering, data analytics projects.
  • 7+ years of experience in plan management, claims adjudication systems, quality engineering, or related functions.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing, collecting, and analyzing testing metrics for reporting and delivery.


Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Key attributes include:
  • Proven program and project management experience, including the creation and management of integrated plans to ensure predictable outcomes.
  • Progressive leadership experience managing large or multiple teams, with budget and capital management responsibilities.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience leading large integrated project plans and driving IT development to meet specific business needs.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • Familiarity with tools and applications used in Plan Design validation, such as RxClaim, or other industry leading claims adjudication platforms SFDC, Tableau, and advancements in core PBM and clinical functionality (e.g., AI for adjudication, RPA for automation).

Education

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
