Position Summary
The Director of Rx Forecasting and Analytics is a vital role in the Retail Pharmacy organization with oversight to planning and analysis for the 1.8B+ scripts filled annually at CVS. This role will lead a talented team that supports executive leadership across the Retail Pharmacy organization, providing key insights into Retail Pharmacy script trends, market share, and various other business drivers. This team is primarily responsible for budgeting and forecasting of script volume and the associated measurement of results across management and financial performance. Responsibilities also include providing data-driven insights and well-formed recommendations aimed to support leadership in real-time business decision making. This role reports to an Executive Director and maintains two direct reports with an extended team of six. This leader will need to build consensus as well as align and influence senior leaders, finance leaders and business owners across the Enterprise. Regular daily, weekly and monthly reporting and commentary from the team is highly visible to senior leadership.
Role Responsibilities:
Set strategic direction to forecast and budget 1.8B in annual script volume; set financial expectations with Senior Leadership via forecast and risk/opportunity assessment; and lead robust reporting and analytics to understand underlying business trends
Lead monthly close process, including deep dives into volume performance against expectations, including comparisons across therapy category, pay segment, and other market Impacts to determine drivers; present results to Senior Leadership and finance partners
Monitor and report on retail pharmacy market share; review trends and produce analysis of CVS performance across various categories; generate insights in current trends across retail pharmacy
Required Qualifications
8+ years of prior related work experience
5+ years of FP&A analytics, forecasting, and budgeting experience
Demonstrated high analytical acumen
Proven ability to create partnerships across multifunctional teams
Strong analytical skillset and approach to problem-solving
Ability to inform and influence leadership through impactful, insightful analytical-based presentations
Ability to focus on long-term, strategic goals while executing against short-term objectives
Ability to identify potential risks and develop forward projections based on limited data
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of FP&A analytics, forecasting, and budgeting experience
Deep understanding of the retail pharmacy industry
MBA
Education
Bachelors degree
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
