Position Summary
We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to support the National Accounts/Private Employer Organization (PEO)/Private Exchange (PEX) businesses. These business lines are part of the Aetna Commercial organization. In this role, you will be a key partner to both the business and finance organizations supporting the monthly/quarterly close, forecast/budget, strategic projects, expense management and other ad hoc activities. You will be expected to be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple activities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, with ability to work independently within guidance defined by management. In this role, you will report to the Lead Director/CFO of the Nat Accts/PEO/PEX organization to gather insights into business performance and help to drive financial outcomes.
You will accomplish this by:
- Engage in the monthly close process, including reporting on membership, pipeline, premiums, benefit costs, fee revenue, SG&A (direct and allocated), providing commentary on material drivers.
- Develop and maintain forecast/budget reports to support analysis of projections. Use analytics to help support and validate forecast assumptions.
- Performing financial analysis and impactful recommendations in support of management's evaluation of strategic business initiatives.
- Leveraging strong financial modeling skills.
- Collaborating across the organization to gather insight on financial drivers
- Effectively leveraging technology to streamline processes and provide insights into financial drivers.
- Dynamically supporting ad hoc requests from senior leadership and business stakeholders.
- Performing continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of financial planning & analysis experience.
- Ability to design action driven financial reports.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and
- Established strategic thinker, learn and process new information quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- Hyperion/Essbase and Salesforce experience.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Ability to Build Trust across Business Partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Health insurance industry work experience.
- Growth mindset.
- Intellectually curious, eager to gain new experiences, qualifications, and responsibilities.
- Effectively employ both written and verbal interpersonal skills in accomplishing responsibilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a business-related discipline.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
