Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a data-driven and strategic Senior Manager to lead analytics initiatives within the Enterprise Procurement Center of Excellence. This role is responsible for transforming complex procurement data into actionable insights that drive enterprise savings, operational efficiency, and strategic sourcing decisions. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with deep expertise in data analytics, visualization, and financial modeling, and will play a pivotal role in advancing analytics maturity across the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Analytics Leadership
  • Lead the development of advanced analytics on $12B+ in addressable spend across 10+ data sources.
  • Design and deliver intuitive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and trend analyses to support strategic sourcing and enterprise-wide cost optimization.
  • Partner with Category Managers to build spend profiles, category pipelines, and financial models that identify savings opportunities and inform sourcing strategies.

• Operational Excellence & Enablement
  • Identify and implement process, system, and reporting efficiencies to enhance procurement operations.
  • Develop and maintain control monitoring dashboards to track policy compliance, cost savings, and procurement performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT to integrate commodity-level detail into ERP systems for improved analytical capabilities.

• Data Stewardship & Innovation
  • Evaluate and onboard new data sources to enrich procurement insights and expand analytical capabilities.
  • Investigate and implement modern analytics tools and infrastructure to elevate the team’s analytical maturity and self-service capabilities.

• Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage and mentor a team of 4 analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, customer focus, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Drive team engagement and professional development while aligning individual goals with enterprise priorities.

• Executive Engagement & Reporting
  • Deliver high-impact insights and presentations to senior leadership across Procurement, Finance, and IT.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement, FP&A, Strategy, Analytics, or Finance Operations.
• Proven experience leading analytics initiatives in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office; experience with Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Experience with programming languages (Python, R, SQL, or similar)
• Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify trends in large datasets and translate them into actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement technologies.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in cost modeling, forecasting, and savings tracking.
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation in analytics and procurement operations.

Education

• Bachelor degree OR equivalent experience.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
