We are seeking a Digital Product Owner to support the design, delivery, and optimization of digital solutions for our Meritain.com portal that improve member, provider, and payer experiences, as well as enhance internal stakeholder efficiencies. In this role, you will own the digital product lifecycle—including execution and continuous improvement—ensuring our products meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Vision
Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned with business objectives, compliance requirements, and customer needs.
Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring digital experiences address pain points for members, providers, and internal stakeholders.
Backlog Management & Delivery
Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, translating business and user requirements into clear epics and user stories.
Partner with Scrum Masters, developers, and QA teams to drive agile delivery and ensure timely release of features.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with business units, operations, clinical teams, compliance, and IT to align on priorities and secure buy-in.
Act as the primary point of contact for product decisions, balancing competing needs across stakeholders.
Customer-Centric Innovation
Leverage data, user feedback, and market research to enhance digital self-service, claims transparency, provider search, member portals, and mobile applications.
Identify opportunities for automation, personalization, and digital adoption to improve engagement and satisfaction.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure digital products adhere to HIPAA, CMS, NCQA, and other relevant healthcare insurance regulations.
Partner with compliance and security teams to maintain data integrity, privacy, and security standards.
Performance Tracking
Define KPIs and success metrics to measure adoption, satisfaction, and ROI.
Continuously monitor and optimize products post-launch to maximize value delivery.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in healthcare insurance or a highly regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of healthcare payer operations (claims, eligibility, enrollment, prior authorization, provider networks).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
Experience with digital health platforms, member portals, or provider-facing tools.
Product Owner/Product Management certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification

The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
