Position Summary

If so, consider advancing your career as a Senior Manager, Payer Relations Reporting & Analytics within the Retail Pharmacy Margin & Payer Relations Analytics organization at CVS Pharmacy.

As the healthcare ecosystem evolves and patient expectations rise, CVS Pharmacy must continuously refine its strategies by leveraging vast data assets and best-in-class analytics. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing PBM/Payer analytics and dashboards, market share analysis, government affairs analytics, and other ad hoc analyses related to pharmacy economics and margin optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop deep expertise in internal and external large data sources, apply advanced analytical approaches (e.g., SQL, Python), and utilize advanced analytical platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry).
  • Perform validation on various data sources and dashboards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Identify gaps in existing data sources and partner with broader CVS teams to enhance data integration within the Palantir Foundry environment.
  • Deliver complex and critical performance reporting to support key retail pharmacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, validate ideas, and deepen understanding of pharmacy economics.
  • Lead profitability analyses and scenario modeling, translating results into actionable insights that clearly address business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, finance, analytics, or product development, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, including experience using data and analytics to uncover root causes and inform decision-making.
  • Ability to independently determine where to pull critical information, analyze data, and make recommendations.
  • Skilled in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term goals and short-term execution.
  • Ability to independently anticipate and recommend next steps.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL) and programming languages (e.g., Python) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years working in large data sets (e.g., millions of records) strongly preferred.
  • Experience performing validation on various data sources and/or dashboards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with pharmacy and/or healthcare industry economics.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, MIS, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
