The Lead Director, Listening Strategy, will architect and lead CVS Health’s enterprise listening function, ensuring the voice of the colleague is central to transformation, culture, and colleague experience strategies. This role is responsible for designing and evolving listening programs, engaging stakeholders across HR, DEIB, Talent, and business units, managing key vendor partnerships, and leveraging emerging technologies—including strong partnership with the internal DDAT HR Technology team—to advance holistic listening and feedback efforts.
Signature Impact (First 12 Months)
- Launch and operationalize a refreshed enterprise listening strategy, integrating OrgVitality and innovative feedback channels to capture real-time colleague sentiment and experience.
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders, HRBPs, culture teams, and the DDAT HR Technology team to ensure listening insights directly inform and accelerate culture activation and transformation priorities.
- Establish a community of practice and deliver training, resources, and best practices to elevate listening capability and engagement across the organization.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and vendor solutions in collaboration with DDAT to advance holistic, inclusive, and actionable listening practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the enterprise listening strategy, aligning programs with CVS Health’s purpose, values, and transformation agenda.
- Engage stakeholders across HR, DEIB, Talent, DDAT, and business units to ensure listening initiatives are relevant, actionable, and integrated with culture and colleague experience work.
- Oversee deployment and integration of listening platforms (including OrgVitality) and develop new channels to capture diverse colleague feedback, in partnership with DDAT.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to ensure solutions meet enterprise needs and drive innovation in listening practices.
- Stay current on emerging listening technologies, methodologies, and tools; recommend and implement enhancements, collaborating closely with DDAT and other partners to advance holistic feedback and insight generation.
- Translate listening insights into actionable recommendations, partnering closely with culture enablement and business leaders to drive measurable impact.
- Lead the creation and delivery of executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations that influence strategic decisions and culture initiatives.
- Build and sustain a listening community of practice, providing training and resources to HRBPs, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance listening channels for inclusivity, timeliness, and impact.
- Lead and develop a team of listening and engagement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in colleague listening, engagement, organizational development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success designing and leading enterprise listening or engagement programs in large, complex organizations.
- Strong program design, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
