As the Manager of Digital Product Strategy, you will sit at the intersection of Aetna Digital and Aetna’s Commercial business, where you will lead high-impact strategic initiatives by defining vendor strategy, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and overseeing the implementation of key capabilities that enhance our digital experience, drive membership engagement, and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor strategy development: Assess the market landscape, conduct customer research, leverage member data to support roadmap development, prioritizing vendor that drive value for the business and our customers.
- Business case & ROI analysis: Evaluate vendor proposals and align them with the business goals and financial impact.
- Vendor negotiations: Support negotiation of vendor terms, SLAs, and ensure compliance with legal and operational standards.
- Cross-functional leadership: Lead initiatives across product, engineering, procurement, legal, and digital teams.
- Performance monitoring: Define KPIs and track vendor performance against agreed outcomes
- Program/project management: Manage complex implementations, timelines, and dependencies within a highly matrixed environment.
- Must be willing to travel Up to 10% annually.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management and product strategy.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
- 3+ years of experience in digital strategy and/or vendor management.
- 3+ years of experience working with and presenting in executive settings.
- 3+ years of experience leading the design and launch of new products and/or processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Digital Product literacy within the healthcare industry
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with external partners to advocate for bold, strategic initiatives, drive alignment on business priorities, and ensure timely execution of deliverables
- Proven experience supporting development of product strategies and roadmaps, as well as bringing digital products to market within the healthcare industry (e.g., market / competitive analysis, multi-year product feature roadmap, product pricing, business case development, go-to-market planning, product launch, change management)
- Critical thinker, with the ability to make data-driven decisions on product launches
- Strong program management skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging and coordinating with internal and external (e.g., customers, vendors) stakeholders
- Proven experience influencing and aligning cross-functional teams around shared goals, within a highly matrixed environment
- Able to balance the ideal state with doing what it takes to deliver on short-term goals
- Change management experience, by championing bold ideas, building trust, and driving adoption
- Excel at time management and able to manage multiple priorities autonomously
- Persistent despite obstacles; comfortable with ambiguity and evolving needs
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Education
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
