Position Summary
We’re looking for a data‑driven, strategic thinker to join our Retail and Pharmacy Marketing team as a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence. In this role, you will transform complex retail and pharmacy data into clear insights that drive customer engagement, inform marketing strategies, and support key business decisions. You’ll partner closely with teams across Analytics, Retail Marketing, Loyalty, Pharmacy Services, and Customer Insights to uncover trends and guide opportunity areas.
This role is ideal for someone who loves solving business problems with data and is comfortable working across both technical and non‑technical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze large datasets (including SQL-based patient, trip, and script data and market share sources) to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations, reports, and dashboards that support marketing and business strategies.
  • Evaluate customer behavior, segmentation, and purchasing patterns to uncover opportunities for acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Conduct competitive and market research to identify emerging trends and inform opportunity scoping for marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain KPIs and performance dashboards to measure campaign impact and highlight improvement areas.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Analytics, Data Engineering, and Retail teams—to understand business needs and influence data-driven decisions.
  • Uphold data accuracy, integrity, and compliance; champion best practices in data governance and insight delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience leading analytical work to deliver business insights and identify growth opportunities.
  • Advanced SQL skills and hands‑on experience with relational databases (e.g., Teradata, Snowflake).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Experience balancing both individual contributor work and team leadership responsibilities.
  • Interest in health or pharmacy-related topics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with retail pharmacy environments and/or large, complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of retail marketing, customer behavior analysis, or market research tools (e.g., IQVIA).
  • Proficiency in data visualization to communicate insights effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas to senior leaders.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance.
Education
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Master’s degree is a plus.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
