As the Medicare Digital Experience Lead, you are part of the Aetna Health Product Office team working to build a consistent and differentiated digital experience for Aetna’s Medicare members.

This role will work with Business and Technology partners to ensure ease of use and a best-in-class digital experience for Medicare members. This role is responsible for providing digital support, subject matter expertise, and guidance for the authenticated Medicare experience. This individual will be the voice for the Medicare member and will review digital usage trends, market trends, and competitive data to build out a best-in-class experience for the Medicare member.

The Medicare Digital Experience Lead requires strong analysis, influencing skills and ability to communicate a vision while understanding the individual elements needed to get us there. This role requires you to be able to look at a project from a strategic perspective and simultaneously understand the product components and impacts. To be successful, this person is a results-oriented individual with a passion for creating a best-in-class Medicare member experience. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder and strategic thinker who understands Medicare complexity, digital capabilities, and can bring member needs together to drive meaningful outcomes. You don’t need to be an engineer—but you should be technically fluent enough to collaborate confidently with product and technology teams and translate strategy into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Medicare stakeholders across business, product, technology, operations, and member experience teams
  • Partner across-functionally to develop a best in class and consistent digital experience. As examples, partners include marketing, Medicare business, Aetna Health product teams. Build trusted, collaborative relationships to align priorities, expectations, and timelines.
  • Define the unique needs and digital impacts for the Senior population.
  • Understand the Senior population digital trends leveraging competitive intel, usage trends and market data.
  • Navigate an environment that is ambiguous and at times, uncertain while learning on the fly will set you up for success. It will require a high level of independent discernment and initiative.
  • Evaluate current product state to identify opportunities through product analysis, digital data and stakeholder conversations.
  • Translate member pain points, data insights, and business goals into clear strategic recommendations and design decisions
  • Leverage basic technical knowledge (e.g., digital platforms, data flows, integrations, agile delivery) to inform decisions and remove friction
  • Proven record of constructing and executing complex analyses to meet business needs. This will require using your analytical, quantitative skills including the highest level of attention to detail along with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Coordinate and lead Medicare specific demos for key stakeholders.
  • Ensure monthly results and roadmap are in a constant state of readiness to share with BU partners, Enterprise leaders, marketing teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Review and align the rolling 4 quarter roadmaps with product leaders, in preparation for monthly product review meetings.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to create and execute on product plans, coordination of market and product research, and management of relationships with strategic partners and key internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and oversee the plans, monitoring and organizational approach between business units that result in consistently great products.
  • Hold teams accountable to building the product, on-schedule and communicating status/risks appropriately.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in Product management or product development
  • 5+ years’ experience with digital assets (platform, mobile and web)
  • 5+ Stakeholder management - Build and maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders and constituents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Medicare or Senior demographics.
  • History of leading complex projects involving multiple matrixed workgroups across a large
    endeavor/organization.
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written, with executive presence and the ability to influence across disciplines and levels of seniority.
  • Ability to provide vision to large teams to guide multi-month fast-paced projects, establish key milestones driven by market/enterprise need, and direct matrixed teams.
  • Proven experience leading and influencing cross functional teams in preparation.
  • Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions.
    Engaging and concise speaking and presentation skills.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders and constituents.
  • Passion for health and wellness and Aetna Digital mission is a must.
  • Drive results by working within established timeframes, deadlines, and understanding next steps
  • Strong analytical skills.

Education
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
