Product Manager
AI adoption across the organization is accelerating, and existing governance processes can add cycle time and rely heavily on manual review.
We are building an AI Governance Engineering capability to modernize governance through automation—shifting from approval-heavy workflows to registration-driven workflows with built-in controls, and continuous observability. As a product manager in AI Governance team, you will be responsible for managing the vision, roadmap and requirements for the engineering team delivering governance-as-code roadmap: platform-agnostic SDKs, APIs, and automated controls that help teams move faster while ensuring responsible AI guardrails are consistently enforced. This role is a combination of product manager and product owner roles where you will need to operate at both 10000 ft as well as ground level providing granular requirements that team can execute on.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategy, capabilities, and roadmaps for the governance as code team of engineers.
- Define Agent to agent workflows
- Research industry practices in this domain and choose best bath forward taking an agile approach to development
- Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities.
- Building influential relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and peer group to drive outcomes.
- Meet with internal stakeholders, exhibitors, and buyers to gather requirements, understand customer needs, and define product features
- Conducting thorough business case and value analysis to prioritize scope and approach of solutions
- Work with other Product Mangers and Product Owners to determine and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of our platform and related products.
- Following human centered thinking to design, develop and facilitate working sessions to compile business needs and user feedback.
- Review epics and refine user stories with the Engineering to support the development process
- Coordinate with the UI/UX team to define short and long-term goals and produce actionable artifacts.
- Maintain accurate and actionable user stories throughout the development life cycle in the new era of agentic development
- Verify stories are completely based on acceptance criteria.
- Learn and master industry knowledge and product management skills by staying curious in nature and continuously learning.
- Participate in the incident management process as required to support overall issue resolution.
- Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks at program and product level and communicate to appropriate stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand ups, sprint demos, and retrospectives
- Identify and build relationships with key users to establish a regular cadence of feedback gathering.
- Exceptional soft skills, including the ability to articulate to both technical and business audiences.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience in using tools such as Excel, Visio, Miro, PowerPoint.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager working in a large, matrixed organization with many internal partners.
- 5+ years of experience working in an Agile methodology, using Agile productivity tools, leading incremental software releases.
- 5+ years of experience working on data and analytics-based platform capabilities, services, or products.
- 3+ years of experience working with UI/UX teams to develop wireframes and working prototypes based on end user feedback and human centered design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Responsible AI concepts such as fairness, transparency, explainability, and auditability.
- Background working in regulated or high-trust technology environments.
- Ability to translate governance or risk requirements into scalable solutions
Education
- Undergraduate degree required
- Graduate degree preferred
- Preference given to candidates with degrees and credentials in agile, product management, data and analytics related fields

- AI intake processes are simpler, faster, and largely automated.
- Engineering teams have reusable SDKs and templates that make responsible AI the default.
- Validation of controls shifts from self-reporting to automated checks and evidence.
- Centralized observability provides real-time insight into AI usage, performance, and risk.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
