Description:
The Senior Producer will report to the Head of Production and support the creation of digital content (videos, photography, social media, modal ai content and more). The role of the Senior Producer is to oversee all aspects of production on assigned projects, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon creative and strategic standards. That includes planning and coordinating all aspects of the production, from approved concept, through identifying creative partners, bidding, pre-production, shoot, post production, all the way through final asset delivery.
The right person for this position is creative, organized, and possesses strong communication skills. You don’t want or need to be micromanaged, but instead are resourceful and look for opportunities to lead and execute.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Execution
- Lead all phases of production on assigned projects, from concept approval through final delivery.
- Oversee director searches, creative partner evaluations, director calls, bidding, project awards, shoots, and post‑production workflows.
- Ensure production plans align with brand vision, creative strategy, timelines, and budgets.
- Anticipate risks and proactively solve production challenges before they impact delivery.
Creative Partner & Vendor Management
- Leverage established relationships with production companies, directors, editors, post houses, and emerging vendors to elevate creative output and efficiency.
- Identify and introduce new creative talent, production partners, and innovative approaches to creative teams.
- Review and negotiate production bids, treatments, scopes of work, and contracts in collaboration with Business Affairs.
- Develop clear production rationales and recommendations to support creative and business decision‑making.
Innovation & Technology Enablement
- Stay current on emerging production technologies, including AI, and proactively apply them to production executions where appropriate—driving innovation, efficiency, and creative excellence while maintaining strict adherence to brand guidelines, standards, and creative intent.
Post‑Production & Delivery
- Oversee post‑production from edit through final delivery, including rough cuts, revisions, color, sound, graphics, and finishing.
- Partner closely with post‑production teams to ensure creative excellence, technical quality, and on‑time delivery.
- Coordinate internal creative, marketing, and stakeholder reviews to ensure timely approvals and alignment.
- Manage asset delivery across platforms and formats, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Budget, Process & Operations
- Manage production budgets, track actuals, and ensure financial accountability across projects.
- Identify cost‑effective production solutions without compromising creative quality.
- Partner with the Head of Production to refine workflows, improve processes, and scale production capabilities.
- Work closely with Business Affairs on talent, union and non‑union considerations, contracts, usage, and compliance.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Serve as a trusted partner to creative teams, project managers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior producers, fostering best practices and professional growth.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high‑performance production culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in a producer or production role, including at least 5 years working at a large advertising agency.
- Portfolio should include examples of digital content that led to measurable increases in engagement, brand awareness, or other key performance indicators.
- Must understand concept development, production planning, directing, editing, story-boarding and other creative processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in producing video content, developing immersive digital campaigns, managing social media projects, and creating branded content for major clients.
- Must have a strong understanding of union and non-union talent session and usage implications.
- Must have a strong reputation within the production and post production community.
- Should also be well-versed in related creative disciplines including photography, graphic design, scriptwriting, etc.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be responsible and well organised, and someone who tackles problems quickly and can predict potential issues.
- Strong team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, which may include extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Could come from an Agency or Production company background
- Knowledge of working for a large, publicly traded company
- Skill in health care, retail and ecommerce communications
- Ability to work within an agile construct
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Degree in Film Production, Producing or related field and/or vocational training or experience amounting to equivalent is required.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
