Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Vendor Management Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between our organization and key external partners, overseeing the end-to-end vendor lifecycle. You will combine project management expertise, with vendor relationship skills to ensure that third-party vendors meet contractual obligations, adhere to performance KPIs and align with our company's strategic goals. The candidate must have strong analytical and communication skills to perform risk assessments and collaborate with key internal departments to identify vendor benefit opportunities, and improvements. The ideal candidate is proactive in mitigating risks, skilled in analyzing complex data to develop actionable insights that improve business processes, increase efficiency, optimize performance, and focused on cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship & Performance Management: Cultivate strong, long-standing relationships with key vendors while holding them accountable to service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs through regular performance reviews and scorecards.
- Project & Contract Administration: Lead vendor-related projects, that include but are not limited to vendor onboarding, contract renewals, and vendor oversight. Ensure that vendor deliverables align with project schedules and business objectives.
- Project Management for Vendor Management activities and program tasks
- Risk & Compliance: Assess vendor risk, ensure compliance with legal/industry standards, vendor auditing, and assist in onboarding/offboarding.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze vendor performance data, spend patterns, and market trends to provide actionable insights for improvements.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current vendor management processes and implement improvements, tools, and templates to increase efficiency.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Track vendor expenses against annual budgets and manage financial outlooks.
- Invoice & Contract Management: Validate vendor invoices, ensure adherence to contract terms, and support the contract renewal process.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in vendor management or procurement, and project management. Some experience in financial analysis.
- 1-2 years strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven experience in vendor management or procurement and program management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel), and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (PMP)
- Experience with specific tools like Ariba, Asana, Advanced MS Excel, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare

The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $93,574.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
