Position Summary
This position can be located at any office location within the US; working east coast hours is expected.
We’re seeking a Retail Business Communications Manager to help shape and elevate how CVS communicates with colleagues across stores and field leadership. In this role, you will lead communication planning, strengthen engagement across business units, and support day to day messaging across our enterprise-wide communications platforms, and support key retail conferences. You will work cross-functionally closely with partners across the enterprise including field leadership to deliver clear, effective messaging that drives alignment and supports operational excellence.

As the Manager you will:
Manage and innovate our communication channels, cadence, and content to evolve the way CVS communicates internally
Support various written and designed products including field and store communication, reference materials, and presentations
Continuously improve day to day communications through building trust and influencing partners
Cultivate strong relationships with business units, gathering and actioning feedback, and influencing upstream
Prepare and present portfolio updates to Senior Leadership
Lead change through the colleagues you regularly influence and identify process improvements and communication gaps
Lead the diagnosis, solution development, and planning of new strategic initiatives that incorporate all of the company’s assets and delivery methods
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance internal communication channels, content, and cadence to improve how information flows across retail teams
- Develop and support content—including field and store communications, reference materials, executive memos, and presentations—that is clear, actionable, and aligned to business needs
- Build trust with partners by continuously improving day‑to‑day communications and gathering feedback to identify gaps or opportunities
- Maintain strong relationships with business units; translate their needs into communication solutions and strategies that support colleague and operational success
- Prepare and deliver portfolio updates to senior leadership in clear, concise formats
- Influence colleagues across teams to support change adoption and communication best practices
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance communication effectiveness and efficiency

Required Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge / skill / ability:
- 3+ years of experience in a communications-related role or equivalent CVS corporate or store experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a role that provided exposure to product development, product management, strategic analysis, operations, and leading cross-functional initiatives, and building strategies
- 5+ years’ experience engaging and inspiring teams to achieve both short-term, and long-term goals
- Basic understanding of retail store operations, pharmacy, front store, etc.
- Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Powerpoint
- Proven ability to influence colleagues who do not report to you and senior leaders where appropriate
- Comfort in collaborating through remote tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, WebEx, OneDrive)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s / Advanced Degree in related field
- 5+ years of communications experience
- 2+ years of experience in event planning and coordination
- Experience developing communications for large, diverse audiences and senior leadership
- Proven ability to influence peers and leaders without direct authority
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite
- Basic understanding of visual or video-based storytelling
- Familiarity with methods for measuring communication effectiveness
- Experience and understanding of foundational graphic design principles
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent CVS corporate or store experience.
- Master’s or advanced degree in a related field preferred

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
