As a Strategic Medicaid Proposal Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our Aetna members and our business by being instrumental role in the quality of our RFP responses and the efficiency of the whole team. The Quality Analyst continuously strives to increase their knowledge of Aetna Medicaid, products offered, and industry best practices to produce thoughtful, strategic, quality edits at every milestone of the proposal process.
The Quality Analyst drives and supports the value of quality by performing, measuring, and engaging in color team reviews for every RFP. Additionally, this role serves as a partner for content delivery and quality initiatives working closely with internal stakeholders.
Individual Accountabilities:
- Review and edit proposal content for compliance, consistency, strategy, and responsiveness in accordance with bid strategies, internal bid and style guides.
- Provide feedback during workgroups and color team meetings to align with win strategies.
- Support, communicate and consult a team of writers by tracking and reporting each stage of the review confirming internal quality standards and deliverables are met.
- · Maintain expert understanding of Aetna Medicaid products and services.
- Support the proposal lifecycle by working with capture manager to provide internal reviews in accordance with our internal processes and procedures.
- Continually measure, monitor, and improve proposal delivery strategies; employing industry best practices and identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Actively engage in team meetings and openly accept and share new ideas to drive innovation and creativity.
- Collaborate with Health Plan leadership to create RFP-specific bid guides.
- Review, analyze, and collaborate on competitive analysis to elevate the narrative in a compliant and compelling manner, ensuring strategic insights drive impactful storytelling and market positioning.
- Represent the Quality team as a primary Quality Analyst working closely with proposal management, health plan leadership, and writing leads to communicate Proposal Quality team concerns and review findings.
- Actively engage health plan leadership and subject matter experts during capture meetings and strategy meetings to influence response strategy.
- Support knowledge sharing and training efforts by working closely with team leaders to identify opportunities to enhance writing quality for the Proposal Development Team.
- Support and drive the development of internal processes and procedures, including scorecards, quality business reports, style guides, and performance measures.
Required Qualifications
- Two plus years of experience in a quality reviewer/editor capacity in a healthcare environment.
- Five plus years of proposal writing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of Associated Press and internal style guides.
- Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and make connections between proposal sections and content development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and AI technology/tools (Asana, Domo, proposal management software).
- Superior organizational, project management, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends during proposal review stages.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of APMP and Shipley best practices; Six Sigma certification and APMP Bid/Proposal Foundation Certification are recommended.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $165,954.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
