Position Summary
The Pharmacy Asset Protection Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting pharmacy diversion prevention efforts through data analysis, investigative support, education, and training. This role supports the identification of risk across shipment, dispensing, transfers, returns, and inventory activity, while also assisting with data needs tied to regulatory and business requests.
The colleague in this role will support multiple initiatives simultaneously, contribute to sound business decisions through strong analytical thinking, and serve as a resource to business partners across the organization. This position requires the ability to analyze complex data, communicate findings effectively through both phone and written communication, and leverage database tools, including SQL, to support reporting, investigations, and operational insights.
The overall objective of this role is to reduce risk by identifying theft, administrative and procedural deficiencies, and other drivers of pharmacy loss and diversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze pharmacy-related data to identify diversion/loss trends, risk indicators, and opportunities to reduce loss
- Support regulatory and business data requests related to shipments, dispensing, transfers, returns, and inventory quantities
- Utilize database tools, including SQL, to query, interpret, and validate data in support of investigations, reporting, and operational needs
- Prepare clear and effective written summaries, reporting, and business communications to convey findings, recommendations, and status updates
- Communicate effectively with business partners through phone and written communication to gather information, clarify issues, and support decision-making
- Partner cross-functionally to support multiple projects, monitor progress, and help ensure timelines and deliverables are met
- Support education and training activities related to pharmacy asset protection and diversion-related processes
- Identify administrative and procedural deficiencies and provide input on opportunities to strengthen controls and mitigate risk
Required Qualifications
- 10% Travel required
- 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in retail pharmacy, pharmacy operations, loss prevention, data analytics, compliance, or another regulatory environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risk, and translate findings into actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through both written and verbal channels, including phone-based communication
- Experience working with databases and data tools, including SQL
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across functions and levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy experience with Pharmacy Tech certification preferred
- Experience with reviewing data traits for outlier identification
- Microsoft Access/ SQL – query writing experience
- Strong judgment and the ability to communicate recommendations with confidence and professionalism
- Ability to influence business partners and stakeholders across the organization
Education
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required

The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
