Position Summary
- Acquires the necessary information and resources to support the development of proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness in proposal submissions.
- Advises in less complex proposal-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of proposals.
- Analyzes basic proposal requirements and guidelines, ensuring compliance and alignment with client specifications and organizational standards.
- Applies functional proposal development knowledge to contribute to the creation of compelling and competitive proposals.
- Arranges proposal-related activities, coordinating schedules, meetings, and communication to facilitate efficient and timely proposal development processes.
- Assists in various tasks and activities related to proposals, supporting the proposal team in content creation, research, data collection, and document preparation.
- Contributes to the improvement of content quality, structure, and presentation by conducting basic proposal reviews and assisting in the refinement of proposal drafts.
- Prepares and coordinates proposals, ensuring that all necessary documents and materials are compiled accurately and submitted on time.
- Reviews and edits proposal content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to guidelines, working closely with proposal writers and subject matter experts.
- Formats and designs proposal documents, ensuring a professional and cohesive appearance that aligns with the company's branding standards.
- Conducts research on potential clients, competitors, and industry trends to gather relevant information and incorporate it into proposal materials.
- Assists in the maintenance of a centralized database or library of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and graphics for future use and reference.
- Tracks the proposal process, ensuring that proposal milestones are met, and deadlines are adhered to throughout the proposal development lifecycle.
- Communicates with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and project managers, to gather required information and develop compelling proposal responses.
- Builds collaborative relationships and communicates internally with cross-functional teams, seeking input and information to enhance proposal content and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coordinates with external partners or subcontractors to gather information and incorporate their contributions into the proposal response.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in proposal support, technical writing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated RFP writing experience required, preferably in proposal development or other structured business writing.
- Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.
- Prior relevant work experience.
- Understanding of basic proposal processes, RFP structures, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, coordinate activities, and track proposal milestones.
- Ability to edit, format, and refine content for clarity, consistency, and professionalism.
- Ability to interpret proposal requirements, identify gaps, and ensure compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Professional Proposal Manager (CPPM) preferred.
Education
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
High School or GED with equivalent work experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $102,081.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
