Job Description

The PXP Assistant Editor has a wide-range of responsibilities, as he/she handles everything from sourcing stock footage and music to editing internal and social content to daily requests (including but not limited to project deliverables, compressions & media acquisition). The Assistant Editor will be called upon to do technical tasks such as prepping projects for color and audio mix, final conform, and delivery.

Day-to-day Responsibilities Include:

  • Accountable for all media including proper ingest, media location etc.
  • Media Acquisition (sourcing stock, hunting through dailies, etc).
  • Troubleshooting of hardware/software issues.
  • Handle media requests / compressions & deliverables.
  • Manage incoming footage from Production and film shoots; maintain a system & calendar regarding upcoming shoots and plan accordingly.
  • Oversee and initiate media transfers and transcodes including syncing audio and video sources.
  • Rough-cut editing support and production assistance for assigned projects.
  • Editorial on internal and social content.
  • Prepping of projects for finish as well as handling final conform and delivery in Premiere Pro.

Location & Commitments

  • Full-time role, in-person/in office will resume as a hybrid approach to work.
  • Travel may be required for production needs.
  • Overtime may be required to deliver on client projects and deadlines

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in post-production.
  • Proficient in Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and After Effects.
  • Knowledge of Resolve, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Technical understanding of video and the post-production pipeline.
  • Passionate, driven, proactive, curious, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Strong sense of priorities with the ability to manage multiple asks/tasks.

Compensation Range: $51,000 - $75,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
