The Role
The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for analysis of current business and technical processes, identify system interfaces and dependencies, and document processes, system flows, and technical decisions. You will help us analyze Fidelity’s existing Typescript workspaces, identify gaps, and translate requirements into clear technical specifications.
You will collaborate extensively with business and technical partners to make system impact assessments, identify dependencies, and suggest sequencing of work. You will gain a deep understanding of the existing ecosystem and will have the opportunity to share your technical knowledge to help strengthen our engineering community and digital web platforms.
The Team
The workspace web platform team focuses on creating a unified developer experience across Fidelity and will be involved in the hands-on creation of standardized tools for testing frameworks, developer environments, bundler and build system implementations, CI jobs, client libraries for observability and experimentation, editor integrations, and REST + GraphQL implementations. Our goal is to create an environment that empowers productive development without compromising quality. The team will directly impact the productivity and experience of front-end developers across multiple product areas.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring

3+ Years in enterprise-wide platforms or applications

Highly analytical and can assess magnitude and impact of the work, down to the story level

1+ year(s) of experience in technical writing or technical documentation

Experience in collaboratively preparing design artifacts and translating them to agile stories

Ability to read and navigate through modern front-end development technologies, especially Angular and Typescript

Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers to collect requirements and stakeholder agreements

Data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions and present to committee
-
Strong written and verbal and communication skills

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, with a focus on AWS, including familiarity with cloud migration strategies and tools.

Support activities throughout various testing and roll-out phases
Your background:

HTML, CSS, any modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue)

Technical documentation and collaboration
-
Working knowledge of REST and GraphQL

Working knowledge of monorepos

Web Components, Component Architecture

Experience with GIT, Jenkins (Or similar Build Tooling, e.g. Circle CI, GitHub)
Helpful but not required:

Development experience in a large-scale community project

Experience with Node.js or similar technologies

Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks

Experience with Storybook or other discovery tools
