HR Data Governance Analyst
The Role
Fidelity is seeking an HR Data Governance analyst to join the growing People Analytics and Associate Experience team. In this role you will play a critical part in establishing and enhancing Fidelity’s governance practices and you will get to drive work with Data Governance groups across the Enterprise. You will have opportunities to learn and advance your skills as well as contribute your knowledge to the growing data community!
The Expertise you Bring.
- Exposure to Data Management practices including data governance, data catalogue, data privacy, data quality and data lineage.
- Experience supporting and collaborating with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with data analysis and the data lifecycle.
- Experience in relationship building and the ability to influence, communicate and collaborate across the enterprise.
- Experience working in various data councils, with data owners, data stewards and data custodians.
- Experience leading projects with new and emerging technology and products in the early strategy and design stage.
- Comfortable using analytical and judgement skills to set direction and achievement of goals; keeping key parties informed on progress.
- Experience using the following software/tools is a “nice-to-have”:
- Data Management tools: Collibra, Alation, BigID, etc.
- AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, Snowflake, Elastic-Search
- Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
- Data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes etc.

The Value You Deliver
- Managing the HR data governance program, including coordinating the key meetings, documenting decisions, and driving actions.
- You will help to set the governance roadmap and collaborate with business and technology partners to drive Fidelity’s Data Strategy forward.
- Provide technical leadership and support in data and solutioning to team members.
- Recognize opportunities to bring process or technology to deliver innovative solutions to meet business challenges.
- Understand detailed requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Take ownership and accountability and have the ability to adapt to a changing and ambitious workload.
The Team
This program is a new initiative to bring Fidelity’s HR data practices in line with world-leading governance standards. This team sits within the People Analytics and Associate Experience (PAX) organization, is comprised of HR professionals, Data Scientists, Data Architects/Engineers and Data Analysts, and works closely with groups across the Enterprise, including our partner technology and business groups. The team also frequently interacts with various Business Units who have similar Data Governance programs. Our mission is to turn data into actionable insights that underpin critical decision making. We are focused on deliberate experimentation, eager to deliver value and motivated to achieve outstanding outcomes!
