Job Description:

Passionate about SEO and interested in joining a growing set of media and search specialists working in financial marketing? In this role, you will be accountable for increasing Fidelity.com search traffic and conversions through organic strategies and improving search rankings for Fidelity’s products, services and educational content.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree; 8+ years of experience with SEO and digital content

  • Deep subject matter expertise in Technical SEO, Content Optimization, Keyword Strategy and Link Optimization

  • Strong understanding of search engine platforms, algorithms and ranking factors

  • Expertise with SEO tools and web analytics platforms (BrightEdge, SEMRush, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster)

  • Familiar with SEO for JavaScript-based websites and Angular single-page applications

  • Proven track record of improving organic search performance

  • Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed organization

The Purpose of Your Role

You will be responsible for developing SEO strategies and optimization recommendations to improve Fidelity.com search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and enhance online visibility. Your role involves a mix of technical expertise, content strategy, and data analysis to ensure that critical content sections of the site align with search engine best practices and user intent.

Working cross-functionally, you will collaborate across channel marketing and with product teams, site developers, content strategists, and UX team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into website development and content creation.

As a member of the Performance Media team, you will help drive and prioritize the findability roadmap to evolve our practices in a rapidly changing search landscape.

The Skills You Bring

  • Technical SEO: Crawling and Indexing audits, advising on URL structures, internal link optimization, implementing schema markup, handling redirects and broken links, using server-side rendering

  • On-page SEO and Content Audits: Quality and relevance, keyword optimization, title tags and meta description, data structure, anchor text optimization, resolve duplicate content issues

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making

  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate SEO strategies to technical and non-technical teams and present information clearly and professionally up, down, and across the organization

  • Strong adaptability and continuous learning mindset to stay ahead of search evolution

  • Ability to support multiple marketing partners simultaneously and remain adaptive to working across varying team styles and workflow

  • Familiarity with agile principles / working in agile

  • Site auditing, keyword research, competitive analysis

  • On-page optimization: Keyword strategy, content and image optimization, title tag and header tag optimization, meta description optimization, internal linking and link flow optimization, URL optimization

  • Adoption of new search marketing techniques and technologies, staying ahead of industry trends and maintaining a competitive edge with emergence of AI/generative search experiences

  • Performance tracking and reporting

  • Support developers to ensure site pages are findable and indexable

  • Strategy and leadership

The Media and Search team, part of the Channel Marketing organization, resides within the Marketing Domain and supports all business units within the firm as an enterprise function. The internal marketing organization is led by the firm’s Head of Marketing and Social Platforms.
