Principal Systems Analyst (XTRAC)

The Role

Fidelity Charitable is seeking a talented Principal System Analyst who is experienced in the Xtrac Application or similar workflow application to work on the National Charitable Services (NCS) Technology Business Process Orchestration (BPO) Center of Excellence (COE) team.

  • The BPO COE seeks to modernize and automate workflows while increasing efficiency, reducing risk, and driving scale and digital engagement. As a COE, we offer continuous assessment of and consultation around offerings available through Fidelity's Advanced Process Solutions (APS); we strive to find the right tool and right solution at the right time to provide the best possible digital, end-to-end solution. In this role, you will work with the existing Principal XTRAC Admins, Product Areas Leads (PALs), Product Owners (PO), NCS Technology Agile Teams, Service and Operational Business users, as well as APS support resources.
  • This role requires a combination of strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to self-motivate and prioritize work


The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor degree required (preferably in business administration, finance, computer information systems or related fields)
  • 8+ years of business experience required; Financial Services experience desired
  • Practical experience with process design, BPM, workflow, or business process analysis is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Xtrac, BPMN, workflow, analytic and related tools is highly desirable
  • XTRAC admin configuration or similar workflow tool management experience is desirable
  • 8+ years of Client engagement/management experience preferred
  • 5+ years of information systems experience is preferred
  • Experience with Forms.io, Camunda, or Smart Communications is highly desirable
  • Sufficient aptitude to continually adapt to changing technology is required
  • Proven problem solving, strong critical thinking and troubleshooting ability is required
  • Ability to write SQL queries and perform data analysis is required.
  • Proven client communications skills using various mediums is highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, is required. Drawi.o or Visio is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively document requirements, test plans, incident reporting, and other necessary artifacts is required
  • Good communication skills with team and stakeholders
  • Lean Process Mapping skills are a plus
  • Continuous improvement mindset where mistakes and failures are viewed as opportunities to learn and improve.

Configuration, Implementation and Support:

Primary work entails designing and configuring workflows using our internally workflow Application, XTRAC. Directly responsible for successful assigned client implementations, smooth client transitions to production, and ongoing maintenance of delivered solutions. Will work independently and as a team to define an optimal solution. Work with client SMEs to understand and document processes. Collect process, document management, systems integration, and other requirements necessary to implement the solution. Assist client users in testing and roll-out of the solution in the client environment. Provide on-going support and enhancement services to existing clients. As an Administrator of suite of tools managed by our BPO team, you will be required to have a deep understanding of the tools as well as their integrations with each other and with other applications used throughout the business.

The Principal System Analyst works closely with clients to automate and optimize operational processes resulting in increased scalability, reduced cycle times, and improved management information for Client business functions. The Principal Analyst effectively documents requirements, develops, tests, and deploys operational workflow solutions utilizing the BPO solution set. Post implementation maintenance and improvement are required elements of the client relationship. The Principal Analyst must have or quickly develop a broad understanding of supported business functions, which primarily includes various financial service and supporting functions. This position requires a solid combination of technical skills and business knowledge. The successful candidate will also have a clear client service ethic and ability. This position has a significant impact on the client’s overall satisfaction with BPO Solutions and adoption of preferred workflow platforms, and has frequent client interactions.

  • Document requirements and recommend specific workflow automation solutions to clients
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain workflows built with our suite of workflow applications
  • Participate in small room and big room planning in an Agile environment
  • Participate in and facilitate conference calls as needed
  • Identify product and infrastructure dependencies relative to assigned projects or clients
  • Collaborate with other associates or functions as needed to support client needs
  • Write test cases, test, and facilitate user testing
  • Cross Train and may provide some informal training
  • Work with various Business Unit teams, attend client meetings to understand the requirements, and craft proofs of concept.
  • Perform and/or support business validation in a production environment after hours when needed
