Job Description:

The Role

The Product Analyst works within the Fidelity Workplace Investing Agile Model as a member of the SPS Customer Solutions Chapter. Product Analysts are tasked with collaborating with Product Area Leads, Initiative Leads and Squad Leads to elicit, document, and translate high complexity business requirements into Agile feature-level epics. They also drive the effort for developing and executing business acceptance test plan, test strategy and implementing solutions to ensure the highest level of integrity, accuracy, and overall quality are included in the final product.

The Product Analyst must have proven experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key attributes that make up a successful Product Analyst are highly motivated, self-starters with a sense of ownership, driven to succeed. The Product Analyst is successful working individually and within a team structure.

  • Initiate and lead discovery for Feature/Epic Definition with Squad Leader and Scrum Master to prioritize Epics

  • Ensure analysis artifacts (i.e. use cases and supporting documentation) are updated and available for story execution

  • Write feature-level (Sub-Initiative) epics and facilitate story grooming/refinement sessions to ensure they meet the Definition of Ready

  • Lead collaboration with key Business, IT, Legal, Compliance & Risk partners to define product features and monitor trends

  • Establish stakeholder meetings to include demos of sprint deliverables and impact analysis results (User Experience Design, Legal, Outside business groups)

  • Lead organizational readiness activities through the lifecycle of the project to proactively mitigate risks related to product delivery

  • Communicate issues and client feedback to the Squad Leader in a clear, concise and timely manner

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert as needed in Release Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives for assigned initiatives and features

  • Create/Document/Review initiatives, Sub-Initiatives, Epics & Stories

  • Identify business requirements, document improvement opportunities, share with Scrum Team and at PA Community of Practice

  • Collaborate strategically with the QA team on QA test plan review to provide clarity on epic requirements / acceptance criteria

  • Perform End to End Business Acceptance Testing in Acceptance Region and ensure the traceability of test cases.

  • Assist with readiness and deployment activities for each release

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Demonstrated knowledge (5+ years) of business analyst techniques, for example: elicitation, current/future state analysis, flow diagramming, benchmarking, business rules and risk analysis, user acceptance testing and product documentation.

  • Agile mentality; experience with Jira or similar Agile backlog management tool, Confluence, Mural preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • CPAB/CSPO Certification desirable

  • Enjoy solving problems and able to resolve conflicts through strong mediation skills

  • Facilitating and orchestrating across multiple teams, BU, squads, business partners

  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Capable of facilitating a workshop, or speaking publicly to a broad audience

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Proven the ability to write clear, concise product documentation and communications

  • Positive demeanor and flexible, with ability to adapt to the changing needs of the chapter

The Team

Stock Plan Services (SPS) provides companies with outstanding administration for their equity compensation programs, including stock option, restricted stock, employee stock purchase, stock appreciate and performance plans. SPS Product Development supports the business and technology work streams that deliver against approved initiatives including new products for emerging markets and improvements to existing products.

The base salary range for this position is $81,000-$137,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
