The Role

Fidelity Workplace Investing’s Tax-Exempt (TEM) Delivery Team is seeking an enthusiastic product leader with a passion for engaging partners across Workplace Investing, Brokerage, Wealth, and Fidelity Institutional. As a TEM Planner Enablement Squad Leader, you will provide product leadership and partner with Chapter Leaders (CL) and business partners to deliver on committed outcomes. You will work with the scrum team to execute delivery of our TEM Planner Enablement capabilities and releases aligned to the integrated product roadmap.​ Working with partners throughout and beyond TEM, you’ll ensure our TEM Products deliver on the future needs of our customers. The role reports to the Group Squad Leader (GSL), TEM Delivery

The Planner Enablement Delivery Team supports the Fidelity associates responsible helping to serve the financial futures of those who serve others.

The Value You Deliver

  • Responsible for proactive research, analysis and recommendation of new & existing feature opportunities that align to the TEM product strategies to be shared with GSL and Commercialization for consideration

  • Foster a culture of trust and innovation

  • Maintain alignment with key business partners and stakeholders thru transparent communication

  • Leverage product management discipline and technical acumen to execute product backlog

  • Demonstrate strong technical acumen to translate, define & understand technical requirements needed to deliver capabilities/features

  • Drive continuous delivery of Epics & Stories, aligned to Sub-Initiatives that have been prioritized

  • Ensure delivery outputs deliver value to the business

The Team

TEM provides retirement plan services to benefit leaders and their employees at not-for-profit organizations (i.e., healthcare systems, colleges & universities). Our dedicated business unit includes client-facing associates (i.e., relationship managers, communications consultants, financial planners), an analytics team and product developers

You work in partnership with the TEM Learning Experience Squad Leader as well as with the TEM Group Squad Leader and Commercialization Leader, other Squad Leaders, Scrum Master and various Chapter Leaders aligned to your squad. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity, agile practices, service-oriented leadership behaviors, you sustain and evolve our innovative culture.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of professional experience; financial services preferred

  • Possesses strong technical aptitude and/or background (has supported a technical product for 3+ years), Salesforce experience required

  • Demonstrates strong technical acumen to translate, define & understand technical requirements needed to deliver capabilities/features.​ Has strong understanding of the technology ecosystem (standards, practices, processes & tools)

  • Proven success in

    • delivering customer value in a highly complex and fast paced environment

    • leading team directly or indirectly

    • working and building partnerships in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment with collaboration and building strong internal and external business partnerships

    • defining and launching products and services from concept to scale in market using Agile methodology practices/ceremonies processes and tools

  • Proven track record of developing, executing and managing digital products and platforms

  • Adept at synthesizing quantitative data and qualitative feedback, using a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translating strategic goals into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered

  • Ability to handle multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, balancing the needs of TEM and key partners

  • Skilled at influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building successful teams

  • You understand and have the skills for working across various technology platforms

  • Excellent presentation skills as well as solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize and articulate complex to simple

  • You grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria

  • You are skilled at running a highly diverse, non-co-located agile team

  • Possess comfort with uncertainty – thing critically and make informed decisions when information is scarce

  • Proven time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple competing priorities

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to clearly articulate product vision and features

  • Innovative thinking and thoughtful risk taking to get the work done better and faster
