Senior Technical Business Analyst
Overview:
Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the PB Optimize (PBO) team. PBO is an entrepreneurial FinTech group, and our product is an industry leading cloud-based portfolio finance solution that brings transparency to the securities lending marketplace. Our customers are sophisticated hedge fund and other institutional money managers.
The Role
You will have a key role on our Data Analytics squad, working closely with the product owner and other scrum team members to accelerate the design and delivery of advanced analytical products.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Technology oriented BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience, with a focus in delivering financial services applications to external clients
- Scrum master experience/certification (CSM/PSM)
- Skilled at influencing team members and external groups
- Strong SQL or PL/SQL experience to compliment your otherwise strong technical background. Experience with Power BI/Tableau a plus.
- A proven track record of success in working with dynamic technology focused project teams
- Experience with Jira and/or Confluence
- Ability to data-mine and troubleshoot issues
- Ability to understand technical concept/problems and make them understandable when communicating with non-technical associates
- Desire to be organized, highly responsive and committed to quality. Must have the ability to multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Experience working with auditors; knowledge of SOC2 a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong documentation skills - ability to capture/articulate and accurately document key points, process flows and identify work issues, etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Agile ceremonies as Scrum master, and assist the product owner with planning and backlog management
- Represent the Analytics team in cross-squad interactions
- Support business and technology team partners as a project subject matter expert
- Work closely with business users and other technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Work with internal and external audit teams
- Provide analysis and troubleshooting for production issues as needed
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
