Acts as a technical consultant to the business stakeholders and partners with them to design, develop, and implement effective data solutions using SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tool Tableau. Integrates large amounts of data to support Cloud-based and traditional infrastructure technologies utilizing data manipulation language and frameworks – Snowflake, SQL, SAS, Python and Jupyter notebooks. Documents requirements, creates specifications and makes design recommendations for executive level dashboards using SQL, MS Office Suite, and Confluence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Discovers, designs, and delivers reporting and recommends solutions for key business partners.
Analyzes information and evaluates results to identify solutions and solve problems for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and to deliver data analytic solutions.
Leads data-oriented projects to support various partners.
Employs data analysis and query optimization skills to analyze large complex datasets and build robust and high performing dashboards.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior IT Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis using relational databases and visualization tools — Snowflake, and Tableau or Power BI — in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior IT Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis using relational databases and visualization tools — Snowflake, and Tableau or Power BI — in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing interactive executive level Tableau dashboards leveraging in depth financial services knowledge and using customer and client financial services data in the form of text files, data warehouse tables, and S3 data lake files.
DE building regulatory reporting controls on secured databases hosted on prem on Oracle or Cloud platform -- Snowflake and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
DE creating data pipelines for cross data base linking and automating business KPI reporting using SQL, Python, or Jupyter notebooks.
DE managing and contributing to team code repositories and following enterprise standards to maintain code sanity employing Bitbucket or Github.
