The Role
The Vice President of Events Marketing leads a team responsible for the overall strategy for proprietary events, industry conferences and webinar programs for Fidelity’s intermediary and institutional clients. This team partners closely with stakeholders across Fidelity Institutional, Institutional Wealth Management Services and Asset Management to leverage events as a key channel to deliver on business priorities, including client acquisition and retention and product and brand awareness.
This leader will collaborate with stakeholders across Fidelity, including the Meeting & Events team, which manages the events experience, and the Sales and Relationship Management leaders to ensure the event/webinar strategy aligns with business goals and is valuable to the audience. The Events Marketing team also partners closely with teams across Marketing, Segment Management/Business Enablement, and Enterprise Marketing to design and execute the agendas, promote the events, and track and analyze event performance.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree
15+ years of experience in marketing or communications
15+ years in progressive leadership roles
Knowledge of financial services and/or investment products
Intermediary or institutional market experience preferred
Experience leading multi-faceted marketing projects through execution
FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 licenses a plus or can be acquired while in the role

Act as subject matter expert: Provide insights into how the right event mix (proprietary, industry, events) can help drive strategic impact and amplify product launches, thought leadership and sales efforts
Learn and evolve: Harness marketing metrics to evaluate and increase the effectiveness of FI’s events strategy, including how to convert engagement from events into leads

The Team
The Events Marketing team is part of the Institutional Segment & Solutions Marketing team, a group that is focused on driving and delivering marketing initiatives in alignment with priorities for the Sales and Relationship Management teams it supports across Fidelity Institutional and Institutional Wealth Management Services.
The base salary range for this position is $123,000-$207,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
