Builds Email Security, Email and Web Advance Threat Protection, Domain Name System (DNS), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention (IPS), and Cloud security. Recognizes and identifies attacks that may occur in each layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI). Exchanges online protection using Microsoft O365 Suite. Understands malicious URLS using Symantec SiteReview. Prevents external attacks to systems using endpoint controls -- firewall, antivirus, and host-based intrusion systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs information security risk assessments based on intelligence analysis.
Develops plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
Develops plans to meet emergency data processing needs.
Monitors computer virus reports to determine updates on virus protection systems.
Encrypts data transmissions and erects firewalls to conceal confidential information and keep out tainted digital transfers.
Executes data processing system tests to ensure the function of data processing activities and security measures.
Modifies computer security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change individual access status.
Monitors traffic to identify malicious traffic and provides solutions to mitigate them.
Performs task related to API definitions, creates custom and bot management rules, and analyzing traffic logs.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Telecommunications and Network Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing end-to-end technology risk assessments of business applications and infrastructure systems, within a cybersecurity environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Telecommunications and Network Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing end-to-end technology risk assessments of business applications and infrastructure systems, within a cybersecurity environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) architecting and supporting secure application hosting environments and blocking Websites with restricted login and whitelisting networks, using Akamai WAF, Akamai CDN, Imperva WAF, and CrowdStrike Falcon.
DE supporting an Imperva on-premises WAF product (Securesphere) to troubleshoot customer issues and provide timely resolutions to high and critical configurations deployed on Centos, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Windows, and Cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using SQL, DB, and AIX Databases.
DE applying HTTP and HTTPS protocol flow to deploy protection mechanisms that detect attacks and recognize network, session, or application layer protocols, using Wireshark.
