Director, Strategy & Planning

The Role

As Director, Strategy & Planning within Brokerage Technology, you blend deep expertise in business management routines and practices, associate engagement, messaging, content creation and leadership insights. You have a passion for meeting people and teams where they are to ensure consistent engagement across all levels of the organization. In this role, you will partner with the Brokerage Technology Leadership to plan and deliver strategies to drive awareness of Brokerage’s Technology mission and strategic objectives. You will collaborate across Fidelity Brokerage, with other Fidelity business units, and the Enterprise teams to ensure a comprehensive experience and clarity of purpose for associates and external partners.

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, planning and leading executive messaging, activities and events that engage teams and deliver results.
  • Ability to drive strategic technology portfolio communications and executive messaging supporting the technology strategy. This will include developing content for technology leadership forums and meetings, quarterly technology and business reviews and incorporating graphic design work to elevate key messaging and branding.
  • Ability to design and implement Fidelity Technology Brokerage Strategic Workforce Plan aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate on providing portfolio status and health reporting on strategic efforts and major deliverables; review domain updates to drive transparency into planned and in-flight work across Brokerage Technology, with explicit alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Experience crafting and telling Brokerage Technology digital stories using visual assets tailored to a broad range of audiences and to service multiple business needs.
  • Experience using multiple mediums to create consistent messaging, including use of digital platforms like SharePoint, Viva Engage, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to make confident decisions based on a wide set of inputs while adjusting as new information becomes available.
  • Knowledge of Agile structures, principles, and ways of working.
  • You are a sound decision-maker and use data to drive decision-making and embed data gathering in the work you do to measure progress and inform future activities.
  • You are a strategic problem solver able to meet day-to-day engagement needs while also creating long-term objectives and the plans to meet and measure those objectives.
  • You are intellectually curious and actively seek other perspectives and opinions to better inform next steps.
  • You are collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to lead others, think creatively, and engage other teams as needed across Brokerage Technology, Fidelity Brokerage and across Fidelity.
  • You are a passionate storyteller able to create simple, effective, and consistent messaging and apply the best digital channel to deliver our Technology messaging.
  • You are enthusiastic and creative about planning events to engage associates.
  • You create the necessary touchpoints to ensure activities align to associate and organization needs, while simultaneously working independently to achieve goals.
  • You build awareness and appreciation for Brokerage Technology journey while modelling Agile behaviors and principles.

Our success is dependent on collaboration and partnership across Brokerage Technology, Fidelity Brokerage and with our partners across the enterprise.
