Senior Manager, Product Analyst

The Role

Based in Boston, the Senior Manager, Product Analyst is a key member of the Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (FILI) growing product team that supports the development and management of annuity and life insurance products to provide value to Fidelity customers. The product team is responsible for managing the existing product portfolio and exploring new product opportunities to grow and scale the business. This role will help deliver quantitative and strategic insights to FILI's product team. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and clear communication.

  • Responsible for on-going product analytics across life and annuity product categories, including collecting, analyzing and distilling company data and market data into actionable insights.

  • Communicate and present findings and recommendations based on data driven insights to product owner(s) and senior leadership team.

  • Collaborate with product owner(s) to provide on-going business updates to key internal and external stakeholders through the development of presentation materials and reports that outline status, key challenges and next steps across product categories.

  • Partner with product team to develop market insights and conduct product research (e.g. product features, pricing, contract provisions etc.) to deliver insights to support the development of the long-term product roadmap and strategy

  • Drive collaboration with enterprise partners to obtain relevant internal data, drive strategic analysis and insights as critical input to develop product strategy, pricing and roadmap

  • Support the evaluation of product features and/or enhancements for existing products based on customer needs, business impact, and internal strategic alignment

  • Support strategic initiatives and the building of business cases to help grow existing products and expand into new product categories

  • Provide on-going support to the broader team on internal and external stakeholder management related activities related to product

  • Support the relationship management with external data partners.

  • Utilize problem-solving skillset to support key business challenges and opportunities in collaboration with product actuaries, internal and external business partners

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

We are seeking candidates who have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Intellectually curious and fast learner who can generate ideas to solve business problems.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, high standards for performance with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to conduct quantitative and strategic analysis. Strong user of other Microsoft products

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate the insights from findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

  • Adapt at leading and engaging with multiple projects / initiatives at once

  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams

  • 3-10 years of relevant industry work experience (e.g., Management Consulting, Strategy, Data Analysis, Data Science, Business and Finance)

  • Experience in Annuity and Life insurance is highly preferred

  • Experience in data tools (e.g. SQL) and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is highly preferred

  • BA/BS required

Product Management

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
