The Role
The Advanced Planning Analyst is primarily responsible for preparing in-depth/personalized financial planning analyses for ultra-high net client engagements. As a member of this regionally aligned team, the Advanced Planning Analyst will support and develop under a team of experienced Advanced Planners to help provide clients personalized net worth statements, detailed cash flow analyses and estate planning scenario modeling using eMoney financial planning software. In addition, the role will help drive operational efficiency across the team. We primarily use video technology to function remotely and meet virtually with clients and advisors across the region. We also collaborate within the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person to maintain and increase our collective impact on the clients we serve. Travel is typically expected between 5% and 20% of the time, depending on physical proximity to regional sites and investor centers. This job is remote but requires being in a commuting distance to a Fidelity location in one of the following states: NY/NJ/PA/FL.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6 to 8 years overall work experience with 2+ years of financial or estate planning work experience, preferably at a wealth management firm, accounting firm, or law firm
- Experience using financial planning software such as eMoney is preferred
- CFP®, CPA, CFA, JD, LLM or CPWA designation a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 preferred or willing to obtain within 90-days of employment
- Thrives in a team environment to provide an exceptional client planning experience
- Maintains a solution-oriented, client-first work ethic
- Works independently, balances competing tasks, prioritizes work to create efficiencies and demonstrates keen attention to detail
- Possesses a professional and positive attitude, with a thoughtful approach to delivering successful customer outcomes
The Team
We are part of the Advanced Planning Leadership Development team collaborating with Fidelity’s advisors and their high net worth clients to provide a comprehensive financial planning experience that is tailored to each client’s unique financial goals and family dynamics.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
